Look, I understand why people hated his character. There was no reason not to. But understanding why he did the things he did is a big part of also understanding that he could have been redeemed. Up until the point where he helps kill the first tourist, I had high hopes his tables would turn with good writing. Overall I think that the writers squandered a chance for the most interesting and enticing character on the show in my opinion. I'd take a Chris/Travis headed story over Nick's anyday.
For shows like TWD and FTWD I understand what they did wrong, or why they did it how I don't like it, and I bridge those gaps in my head. Im always sympathizing with bad writing, but I truly feel like this is something they did horribly wrong.
That being said I love FEAR and TWD and I will never stop watching these shows.
Side Note Anyone remember the slight sexual chem with Alicia and Chris in season 1 Ep4 and how he always protected her? (Ex Reed on the boat and the army guys who took the car in S1 Finale) and then the next week or so he wanted Alicia dead? I mean come on, who thought that'd be a logical transition.
