I always thought True Detective season one was the pinnacle of episodic television. Maybe it is, but Fargo is damn close. Billy Bob Thornton is a revelation, and Martin Freedman perfectly portrays Lester Nygards radical change.
If you haven't watched this yet you should, S1 and 2 is on Hulu.
