Doing that official rewatch on double time, so I've little time to stop and think of theories after every episode, but one part that I didn't understand yet in this episode. Roose Bolton sends Ramsay to retake Winterfell, capture Theon and ensure that Bran and Rickon are safe. So he just decides to burn it all up? Till midway through S3, Boltons are still loyal to the Starks (unless I'm missing something quite obvious or if they just decided to shake things up long before Robb and his army was doomed).
So unless Ramsay had his plans sketched out from the very beginning of his introduction, to betray the Starks and take the power for himself, why'd he do it?
