I want to see what you think. Overrated doesn't mean bad. There are characters that aren't overrated, but simply just are not good characters, so that's why they aren't on this list. These are the 5 most overrated characters of the show Imo.

Negan. I hate to say overrated about my favorite villain of the show. Negan is my favorite villain because he's really charismatic, funny, gives good speeches, is the dictator of a huge group, is brutal but is also smart and considerate, and he carries around Lucille and a Bowie knife. Not to mention his cool biker jacket. But, Negan is overrated because he talks a bit to much and stalls when he should get straight to the point. He doesn't do enough of his own dirty work that his men do for him. For being the big bad villain, he's not exactly scary or badass. Negan also proved he was dumb and scared shitless in 7x16. Not to mention he is overly cocky and trusts Dwight and Eugene for some reason.

Carol. Yes, Carol is an og survivor. She's well adapted to the way the world is. She had saved the group and really helped out. However, it took her quite a while to become a badass. For seasons 1-2, she was obviously weak. Then for being on Rick's side, she has straight up murdered good people. By the end of season 6, she was thinking suicidal thoughts, and through season 7 until 7x16 she retired from action and didn't want to help her people.

Shane. Shane was a badass. He was brutal. He knew what it took to survive, which is to kill when necessary and not take chances. However, he gets a lot credit for being the best villain of the show. WTH? He wasn't even a villain until 2nd half of season 2. Governor and Negan are way more of the villain type than Shane is. He was more Rick's personal villain than for anyone else, besides Otis. Shane couldn't even kill Rick twice because Shane was stupid in those moments. Shane hasn't even done nearly as much bad stuff as Governor, Negan, or even other villains of TWD.

Daryl. Daryl is an og survivor. He is a badass, and has helped and saved the group a lot. The problem is that he lost his humor and charisma after the first half of season 4. Since then, he has been an angry or depressed mumbling idiot. Daryl didn't take Joe's group off course when they looked for Rick. Daryl and Rick were idiots when dealing with Jesus for the first time. Daryl fell into Dwights trap easily. And of course, Negan and Glenn. That's a lot of dumbass Daryl moments right there. Daryl also gets credit for being the badass of the show, but there are a few guys on the show that could beat him/ are simply more badass.

Andrea. This woman is liked so much by so many people who watch the show. Why? She had sex with Governor and Shane, two evil people who tried to kill Rick. Andrea shot and nearly killed Daryl in season 2 . In season 1, she was suicidal until Dale talked her out of it. Andrea was more on Governor's side than her own friends until it was to late. She even protected Governor from Michonne, basically threatening to kill her. Andrea screwed Michonne over twice, and big time. She also didn't even kill Governor despite several opportunities. Yeah, the most overrated character of the show imo.

PS: I still like Daryl, Negan, Shane, and Carol. Daryl and Negan are two of my favorites. Andrea is my least favorite by far and the most overrated imo.
