...in Defense of Chuck

Just to play devil's advocate with the other thread at the top of this Reddit.

Chuck preventing Jimmy from becoming a lawyer wasn't exactly nice, but he was 100% correct in his "chimp with a machine gun" analogy. He was protecting his brother as well as his own law firm, and I don't think that's unreasonable. Regardless of relation, employers have the right to not hire people they believe will literally destroy their practice.

And as for Jimmy taking care of Chuck, I'd say that squares them, considering Chuck saved Jimmy from becoming a licensed sex offender.

The tape fiasco also seemed like a proportionate response to Jimmy doctoring documents and committing a felony in order to steal HHM's client. And this isn't even mentioning the personal embarrassment Chuck had to endure as a result. Finally, after ALL that, Jimmy refuses to take responsibility for his actions, and instead uses Chuck's ex-wife to psychology attack and humiliate him even further in court...oh right, and the insurance sabotage that finally tore HHM apart. That.

But yes, Chuck is the bastard here, because he didn't give Jimmy a job. Give me a break. I honestly have no idea what I could be missing here, but I feel like this is the whole Skyler/Walt thing all over again. Long live Chuck.
