Carl dying is good for the show because this gives way for the characters from the walking dead a new frontier charectors who are in the comic universe Incase you forgot to come in. Javier can take over as the third leader since it was rick, Glenn, Daryl now it can be rick Daryl and Javier and Gabe can come in and swoop up the Carl rolls since what’s left fits his character better than anyone not named Carl Grimes and when the whisperers come in the daughter could instead be Clementine and not a daughter and the 3 could be reunited and Aj would be able Judith’s age so they could grow up together thus leading us to them being the leaders when Daryl rick and Javier get old.
This also could create more back story for Jesus since Jesus before he was with the hilltop was with Javier so they could reunite and form a bond and all that good stuff and Clementine could be good for Maggie’s charector development because Glenn was with Clementines group before he was with Shane and Lori and all them so they could form a bond that way and plus Clementine is good with babies.
Nobody has talked about any of this yet but if they ever bring in the charectors from the comic universe made by telltale this is now, this is when they should do it.
