My mom has a theory: she believes Gus is gay. Her theory is that he and his partner, Max, were lovers. This is based on Gus' reaction to Max's death in the episode "Hermanos". She thinks his reaction was too emotional for "just a business partner" or a friend and that witnessing the death of his supposed lover would explain his emotionless, robotic demeanor in present day (2008). I never really saw it that way, plus it's implied that he has kids (not that that would disprove my mom's theory). What do you guys think? Has there been a consensus on this already?
