I miss the old TWD.
Yeah, I am including the farm. TWD from seasons 1-4 for me was the best it got. I know I'm part of a minority. Of course there were problems. But I really do miss it. The whole reason I loved the show so much was because the threat of the walkers felt real to me and what was left of the human race really did feel small and weak.
Season 1 of the show was hands-down the best for me. The pacing of the show was amazing. It knew when to slow down and let us see a moment play out and speed up to throw us right into the action. I felt like a survivor with Rick, and I felt a true sense of loneliness.
Don't misunderstand what I'm saying, I really enjoy the newer seasons. They just don't give me the feeling of a zombie apocalypse show. Hell, sometimes I feel like the walkers are just thrown in as an afterthought. Of course, you can't change what was written in the comic. In the end this post can't do anything, because the comic was already written. I just wanted to know if anyone else missed the actual sense of fear they felt when they saw a walker bite into someone or the feeling of despair as the camera panned away from the tank in S1E1.
Maybe it's nostalgia, but I just want to see the walkers have more of a prevalent role.
