I can't think of a better ( or worst, depends on how you look at it) example than Hope from "Jessica Jones". She gets kidnapped, tortured and raped for over a month, forced to kill her parents, sentenced to life in prison, finds out she is pregnant from her rape, gets beaten up in prison, has an abortion, finally released from prison but then is forced to commit suicide.
If anyone can think of a better example, I'm not sure I want to hear about it.
