I feel like the writers I've written themselves into a corner with this particular character.

Heath.

I just don't see how they are going to explain his disappearance. And if he doesn't come back after the first time skip - which I believe is what, a year? Then it will really be contrived if they bring him back after the second time skip, which I think it's supposed to be 5 or 6 years, a total of about seven or eight years after he disappeared at the bridge.

Some people will point to Morales as a precedent for bringing back someone against all odds out of nowhere but the way they brought him back was really ham fisted and contrived - especially the way they almost completely glossed over the explanation of his backstory from the quarry in Atlanta till the time he joined the Saviors.

I think this will be an unpopular opinion but maybe they shouldn't bring Heath back. I think it is completely unrealistic that every single character who ever existed on the show gets closure. We've never seen somebody turn up missing and then just be gone forever. The fact is in a zombie apocalypse there would definitely be times when a person or even a group goes out and is never seen or heard from again.

I'd like to hear your thoughts!
