Okay you guys so first let me tell you that I, like many here, didn't like the 2 years timejump between 316 and 401. I did enjoy the possibility that Morgan's arrival could bring to the show, but I hated how they killed off the main character (was okay with Nick as the actor wanted out) to put him in the front. First I loved the first three episodes, the fourth was slow but okay, the fifth was pretty good and beautiful, the sixth great even though a bit slow, and then... then it goes to shit.
• Charlie is like, forgiven ? Everyone's okay with her presence like nothing happened
• 3 people killing 40
• The whole June/Alicia situation
• MADISON FUCKING DYING WITH A 1000 WAYS TO ESCAPE
Soooo here is how I think all this should have been done.
407
The seventh episode begins with parallel flashbacks : Laura and John at the cabin, Nick and Luci at La Colonia. The fight has broken out yet. Laura and Morgan try to help John, as a few Vultures walk up to them to see what happened. The trio takes that opportunity and shoots them. The mayhem begins. Althea seems to be enjoying this big fight she's filming (I loved the idea of her being a psychopath having embraced a new way to learn people's worst fears and use them against them later), and Morgan & Laura manage to bring John inside her truck. It's revealed the trio had spilled gasoline on the ground of the meeting place and Alicia lights it all with a match. Many Vultures go out in flames. That triggers Mel who did loose his family to a forest fire. He goes rampage and charges his enemies, but gets held back by one of Strand's bullets in his shoulder. Victor is super concentrated, and completly terrified by what's happening. Laura hesitates to help either side, but Morgan maintains her focus and John. Her problem is that she has no medical supply. There are in the medical truck tho. Morgan tells her to stay put while he makes a run for it but she follows him after, cause he can't know what to find. On his way, Morgan is attacked by a Vulture and he brings him down but doesn't kill him. As he tries to jump on his feet, Laura stabs him. He stares at her eyes as he dies, and that scares the shit out of her. Morgan leads her to the truck and they find the good medicine. When they get out, Morgan notices Charlie. He asks her name, tells her she has to come with them or she'll die here. She does agree to follow them, but one of the cars they come across is blown up by Alicia's RPG and the two are separated from the kid. Morgan yells her name.
During the fight, Luciana notices a wounded Mel a few cars away and crawls to avoid the rest of his troops. But when she gets there, he's gone. She runs around another car and finds Charlie. The flashbacks with her and Nick play out but faster, with a heartbeat. It's all Luci can hear. She has a flashback of the kids at La Colonia, of the little girl who lost her father to the Wall of Infected. Then Nick smiling and kissing her as she leaves the stadium. But then Charlie's weak, crying voice lands in her ears : "I am sorry". The hearbeat stops. "I'm not". And she shoots Charlie in the head. That's when Morgan finally finds her. He tries to say something to Luci but she's gone into madness. She reloads her gun and aims at Morgan but he has the time to jump aside before the bullet flies. Mel furiously attacks Luci, but he is shot in the back and falls, dead. Strand is in shock of what he just did. Then Luci leads Victor away and the rest is from Morgan's POV, and he looses sight of the trio, so he rushes back to Al's truck, but has the horrible surprise to see it gone. Then, across the battlefield, he sees a car leaving with 3 people in it, and the few remaining Vultures driving after them. He decides to follow them all. It's revealed with a quick flashback, that Luci actually told Alicia and Strand to hide, while she did put 2 corpses in a car and left, luring the Vultures into chasing her. We see her tears of regret and despair after she's just killed a kid. Then the other waited for Morgan to go, and they took another road.
The rest of the episode shows Luci managing to escape from the Vultures, but being found by Morgan. Together they bond over their tendance to be lonely travelers, as the people they had at the roots of their life are gone. Luci concludes she has no tie with this group anymore, now that Nick is dead and she avenged him. Morgan asks her to try, and repeats some of the words he was told by Carol, Jesus and Rick at the beginning of the premiere, how she'll eventually find people again and there is no wasting time. But when morning comes, just like Morgan did to John, Luciana is gone.
The flashbacks from the stadium describe how Luciana, while on a run to find some more books, found Charlie, and tried to bring her back. But in the end it was just a trap from the Vultures and they took Luci prisonner, to Charlie's disgust. After days of absence the stadium figured out she had been taken. Madison gave up on the things she had worked so hard to build to focus on warfare. One night, several groups, one with Nick and Alicia, one with Strand and Cole, one with the older couple were sent out to secure the area. But the talkies suddenly stopped working as the Vultures had used stalitte dishes to cut the communication. Soon the Vultures's herd started surrounding the stadium. Madison, totally clueless of whether her kids were alive or not, had to stand there and watched. But she now had a plan.
In present days, it's revealed Laura asked Al to take her and John to the stadium to find the supplies. She starts noticing how the violence of the battle has triggered something new, something like excitment , inside of Althea. That freaks her out and we see she took a small gun from the battlefield, ready just in case. Outside, we see their truck in the horizon, and a few miles behind, having lost track of Luci and now following them, the convoy of the Last Vultures.
Okay that's it for episode 7, tell me guys if you'd want to know what would have happened in the Midseason finale.
