Who is the most ill-fitting character in an otherwise generally believable series?

I’ve been watching Dexter and every now and then a character shows up who is just too cartoonish and ill-fitting. Characters like Masuka, even though I really like him, and obviously Lila. Most of the characters in any show require a certain suspension of disbelief but I’m asking about characters that just tear you right out of it. So who is it and what are they from?
