They clearly fucked up FTWD with the Morgan crossover and have nothing to show for it now... but I think it could have worked if instead of Morgan leaving the main show for good he took on a recruiter role like Aaron was initially in. They could have done some sort of spinoff or miniseries for him to get a leading role and for realistic time to pass for him to get to Texas, while new people that eventually pop into TWD over the years can keep them tied together by being directed there by Morgan. Eventually he finds the OG ftwd crew with Madison at the helm and that could lead to an eventual crossover with the main show, and they could have done that after the 2nd time skip in like season 10 or 11. Maybe at that point Madison and all them are villains... I don’t know but I think this probably would have been much better than the bullshit we got.
