I’m a handful of chapters into a Dance with Dragons. I’m in one of Brans chapters. He is warged into Summer and happens to find a pack of wolves feasting on a few corpses dressed in black, presumably killed by Coldhands who also is dressed in black and formerly of the Nights Watch. When Bran confronts Coldhands for killing them after Coldhands referred to them as foes, Bran calls him a monster and Coldhands responds “Your monster Brandon Stark”.
I’m not sure how to read that. Is he implying that somehow Bran has a hand in creating the monster that is Coldhands? It’s obvious that Coldhands (Benjen in the show) knows more than Bran at this specific moment.
Any thoughts?
