[SPOILERS] Wouldn't it have been in Tywin's best interests to credit Tyrion for the Battle of the Blackwater?

Or was Tywin's hatred for Tyrion just so deep that he didn't even think about it?

I just imagine that it would've made Stannis look like a joke if Tyrion Lannister, the "Imp", the lowest of the Lannisters was credited for destroying his entire fleet and defending the city.

Would it not make the Lannisters gain even more fear if the lowest of them could destroy an entire fleet with a single command?

I'm going to assume the answer is the question I wrote in the first line. Tywin probably didn't care enough about Tyrion to put thought into it. But surely Tywin, as great as a man as he was, would've thought of something like that, right?
