Last night on Ghost Adventures: Zak shares a bed with a mother and two children.

Spoilers I guess. Like it matters.

If you didn't happen to catch last night's episode of Zackary Bagans and the Meth-ly Hallows, "Terror In Fontana," you missed out on one of the more ridiculous sequences in the history of the program (I am a huge fan by the way). The only reason the show did not reach a new low with this installment is because the recent Halloween live show lowered the bar down into the basement.

Simply put, Zak Bagans went the extra mile to help a family with young kids that was being terrorized by an evil entitty. A demon to be exact. This "demon" did a lot of the typical demon stuff, like arm grabbing and leaving blood stains all over the place. But a line was crossed when it flung one of the children against a ceiling hard enough for him to get a concussion. That is when the family decided to take drastic measures.

They resorted to sharing a bed at night, just like in olden times, though presumably for different reasons (cuts down on laundry and heating costs). The demon continued its harrassment. Muttering prayers had no effect. They even tried singing hymns at the thing. Apparently, hearing "Jesus Loves Me, Yes I Know" sung over and over, badly, does not have the same effect on demons as it does on me.

Having exhausted every option, the parents did the only thing one can in such a situation: call the Ghost Adventurers!

I'll skip the boring stuff you get in every other GA episode: contextual walk-throughs before lockdown, interviews with folks clad mostly in black, etc. I was balls deep in box of wine for the first half hour of the show, so forgive me if I am missing some of the details, but I should mention that the two kids were very involved in the show. Not just during the lockdown/sleep over, but throughout the rest, as well. The older boy, the one who got slammed against the ceiling, recalled his experiences with the demon. It had appeared to him several times and had also recently grabbed his arm, digging its fingernails into his veins as it did. The younger boy claimed to have never actually seen the demon, but said that it wants to kill him.

And now for the meat and potatoes the episode: the mother somehow convinced Zak he should do the lockdown in the family bed, with her and the two kids, but not her husband. I am not sure what he was thinking. Being from Vegas himself, you'd think Zak would have the sense not to trust a woman who looking like she ran into the business end of glitter cannon.

The lockdown began with everyone just sort of sitting around silently, not sure what to do or where to look. I'm sure it felt like attending a middle school dance or public shower for the first time. Frankly, it's hard to tell who was more uncomfortable: Zak Attack or the Concussed Kid. The mom wearing leopard print lingerie did not seem to put anyone at ease.

As is usually the case, some strange shit went down. There were noises. Billy used his considerable paranormal experience and technical know-how when attempting to debug them ("it's coming from under the bed...do you guys have a cat?").

Then the sheets began to move. The rustling covers appeared to be localized near the eldest son's leg. Everyone was pretty freaked out. Zak Bagan patting the bed sheets. Billy also patted the bed sheets. Aaron said "duuuude" a few times. Only the older son seemed unperturbed.

Eventually, Zak grew jealous of all the attention being showered upon the boy. He offers himself up. To the demon, that is. Not the boy. That would be inappropriate. But it was no use. Zak's advances went unanswered.

So the climax of the show was the family sharing the bed with Zak while the one of the kids moved his leg under the covers. Sure, a few other unremarkable events happen, but I will not recount them here. I will say they close out the show by calling in an exorcist, always a good way to end an episode of Ghost Adventures or a quinceanera.

Anyway, I just needed to vent. Thanks for reading.
