There is a lot around the idea that Cersi has more wild fire and will destroy KL. However, don't you need fire to ignite wild fire?
So couldn't Cersi, when she loses the plot completely, decide to lace the place with WF and then essentially lure Dany and her dragons to light the fuse to destroy it all. Let her be the Queen of ashes.
But what if Jamie realises this and somehow manages to get ahead of Dany or stop the dragons or something and make it to Kings Landing. Maybe with Jon in hot pursuit thinking Jamie has turned on them.
Jamie reaches Cersi and in a heart breaking scene kills the woman he loves just as Jon Snow arrives.
Just like how Ned Stark arrived on the scene when he killed the Mad King.
Except, (I mentioned this in another comment) this time Jamie gets redemption as Jon doesn't call him a Kinslayer or Queen Slayer but instead says Thank you See Jamie, for saving us all....
