So the iron throne is melted. Big symbolic act. "The wheel is broken." Yay.
But then they abolished hereditary rule.
Huge. Mistake.
If the nobles now decide among themselves who rules Westeros you've officially declared a never-ending cold war. All kingdoms will forever be politicking for leverage over each other, spying and assassination will be the biggest growth industries in the country, and allies won't have a reason to ever trust each other again. Everyone will build up their militaries constantly "for protection" until eventually, after years of miserable paranoia, someone pulls the trigger and starts all this crap over again.
They've got maybe 5 years of peace before things go off the rails, tops, and considering their Master of Coin is a completely uneducated thug the ruling armies will be under-funded and easily ignored.
Just something to consider.
