OK, so there's the resurfacing of Brendan Frasier. There's that, but it's not the most spectacular thing. The most spectacular thing to me is the complete disregard for conventional storytelling mixed with its cohesiveness. I mean that typically, shows like these get cancelled prematurely probably because some shitty exec didn't like it.
Additionally, there's the lack of facetime for Matt Bomer and Brendan Frasier. It's.... unusual for a show. A risk taken that isn't taken enough. They aren't the star, though. Obviously it's Diane Guerrero, a simply astounding performance.
I'm happy it got renewed. Dear execs, please don't touch the show's creativeness. Just... leave it be.
