Morgan syndrome - The act of going out of your way to help others who either do not need it/do not want help, putting yourself in danger whilst doing so, usually resulting in injury or worse - death to the helper.
Seriously though, it happened in season 4 when Madison did a complete 180 and become a pacifist. Alicia now “has to help people to make up for what she did” (whatever the hell that is...). Dwight, simply gives up his pursuit of Sherrie after one negative letter and decides its better to stay and help random people.
This show is supposed to be set in post-apocalypse, yet our protagonists believe everything is sunshine and rainbows and that the world can be saved by being kind to everyone.
In season 2 Alicia naively trusted one of the pirates, with their group then boarding the Abigail, yet in this season I’m supposed to believe she would be okay with flying a plane to help someone they have never even met?
What the hell happened to this show? Season 3 was phenomenal, this is just painful to watch.
