Back in episode, 309 'Fall', Jimmy calculated that if he got Irene to settle right then in there, he'd end up receiving a hefty 1.16 million dollar pay day. Now of course he reverses the damage he did to Irene's social life, thus prolonging his settlement money, but whenever he gets it, it will be quite the payday, and maybe even significantly more than the 1.16 million, which got me thinking...
Back when Breaking Bad was airing, Bob Odenkirk said in an interview that he thinks that Saul never got a huge payday opportunity before he ran into Walter White. I think there's some credence to Bob's old theory. AKA, Saul wasn't rich and he saw an opportunity to become rich when Walter White came into view. That got me thinking, If Saul had received his settlement by the time Badger got busted, Why would he pursue a further business relationship with an inexperienced meth cook who sucks at selling meth? Why not just part ways after you get them out of legal trouble? My point is that, I don't think Saul has much, if any, of his Sandpiper money remaining by the time BB starts. Which leads me to believe that he may have to use it for a very necessary cause.
Maybe later on there's a client or a scam that ends up being very costly, and he has to use his sandpiper money to pay damages/avoid jail-time for his client or maybe even Kim. Maybe all he was able to do with his money was a down payment on a new office and a new Cadillac Deville.... IDK it'd kind of be karmic I guess.
