Just finished Lost season 1 for the first time: wow.

What a show. Absolutely amazing.

I have been a big tv show fan for the better part of a decade now. I've watched a lot.... and yet I never came around to watching Lost. I barely knew anything about it, besides it being about a plane crash on a mysterious island. Well, a week ago I finally started the first episode. And boy was that one hell of a pilot.

But it was only until a couple episodes in when I was really sold on the series (I don't remember the exact episode). It was the one in which we learn about Locks wheelchair. God damn that has to be one of my favorite episode endings of all time. Lock is my favorite character, very intriguing - just like the island.

And I love how focused this show is on the characters. I expected it to be more about survival on the island, but I have fallen in love with the cast. The flashbacks that continue to develop all these characters is really what makes this show great. Although enough crazy things have happened so far, the show really doesn't need it because of the great characters and their interactions.

I'm definitely curious how everything will evolve over time.. What is the bunker thing, what is the creature on the island, the others, etc etc. And whether or not all seasons will play out on the island or not. The finale ends with this beautiful scene of the raft, but I'm expecting to see them all return to the island in the first couple episodes of season 2.

I just needed a place to show my appreciation for this show. Won't be reacting to possible reactions to this thread any time soon, as I will be watching the rest of the show before I get back to this account (just in case someone tries to spoil the show for me). Also: this show does music and soundtrack really well!

The weekly episodes and months of waiting would have killed me, but I also feel it would have really added to the experience of this show. Anyway, glad I get to watch it now for the first time and I truly have no idea what is to come.
