Given his dad ran the store from the 1970’s to 1980’s; $14,000 seems a small fortune to have been stolen from the cash draw by Jimmy. What the hell would Jimmy even spend that amount of money on that didn’t raise suspicion all around?
Even if we account for all the freebies that Charles Sr. was conned into paying out, for a small corner store I find the sum of $14,000 ridiculous.
If he has said around $2,000 - $4,000 had gone missing I would find that believable.
