One of my friends asked me this question because he had to write an Essay on character and he chose to write about Walter. So this question had me thinking. I actually agreed with him that basically Breaking bad is basically a perfect show. Obviously nothing is ever "perfect" because not everyone will like it. but i feel like when it comes to these things i feel like Breaking bad is basically the show where 30 years from now you will basically think back to how it was.
- The story itself had no loose ends. When season 5 ended, there wasnt a single thing afterwards where you look at each character from the show and its story didnt come to conclusion. From seasons 1 to 5 each story was part of each other. it felt as if EVERYONE in the show was part of walt's story.
- Vince's(Gilligan) writing: this man is basically a genius when it comes to writing. His direction and how he tells his story from visuals to the dialog is a masterclass. There are so much memorable lines that make sense for each character.
- The actors themselves: Everyone in the show is basically what you look at for expert acting. Bryan cranston and Aaron paul are the reason the show is what it is. Not to forgot all the other people as well.
So from my point of view, i would say Breaking bad is basically "perfect". what I mean by that is if you ever had someone ask you what show they should watch, This would be it. Considering seem alot of shows over the years, there hasnt been anything close to this. Let me know if you guys agree or not. I would imagine not everyone is gonna use the word "perfect" because nothing truly is, but lets discuss.
