I know this has been talked about before but as I’m rewatching BrBa for the umpteenth time, I’m seeing that Saul doesn’t choose his destination, the disappearer does. He even asks, “What’s in Nebraska?”
So this could mean a couple of different things; either 1. Gene ending up in NE is completely random & means nothing (highly doubtful since the writers never leave anything to chance & they chose to make Kim from northeast Kansas, almost Nebraska) or 2. Gene ends up in Nebraska not knowing Kim is nearby, but the disappearer knows she’s there. As romantic as that sounds, I’m not sure the disappearer would do that since he’s big on no contact with anyone from your past.
So what does that leave us? What route could the writers take that seems realistic but not too much of a fairytale ending? I fear all believable roads lead to her death but I realllllyyy don’t want that. Hmmm.
