How dangerous would Rick's group in season 5 be if they became evil?

This is around the time that Aaron found them when they were on the road with barely any gas, food, or water and Tyrese and Beth had just died.

If Rick's group turned into Joe's group (claimers) and decided to ransack people's camps or kill strangers for their food and supplies, how difficult would it be to stop them? How dangerous would they be?
