Do you think a Negan spinoff at this point is a safer bet for AMC than a Carol/Daryl spinoff?

The viability of a Caryl spinoff was never all that high but its noticeably been becoming borderline non-existent throughout 10C (10x21’s series low ratings and volatile reviews pretty much obliterated any hope on AMC’s part that fans are genuinely still invested in Caryl). I contrast this to 10x22 which has already been getting tons upon tons of hype and is being hailed as one of the best episodes of the whole show. Negan, Carol and Daryl since Season 9 have been a heavy contributing factor in why people are still watching (outside of just simple inertia) but now with Caryl falling so rapidly it’s starting to feel like Negan is the true source of audience hype and investment. I have a feeling the ratings will show that too, I think it’ll be by far the highest of 10C.

I’m wondering if AMC might reverse gears in the wake of this and install a Negan spinoff in place of the D/C roadshow spinoff. Obviously I doubt it’d be a huge success because data has shown that the main reason most people are still invested in the franchise is because of inertia with TWD) but I imagine as long as AMC still insists on pulling out spin-offs it’ll be at least a tad more successful/viable.

I’d love for a gritty crime drama with Negan about the underworld of the apocalypse (kinda like El Bazar from Fear) with organized syndicates battling it out with each other over drugs (those brain stem drugs in Fear were super cool and I’d love seeing that explored more). Basically we could be looking at a post-apocalyptic Narcos. Maybe Negan hires himself out as a mercenary, playing all sides
