I see a lot of people saying that Rick's comic book death should go to characters such as Daryl, Carol, Negan, Aaron and etc. This wouldn't make sense when you look at the meaning of Rick's death. As Robert Kirkman said
“Rick Grimes fixed the world to the point where he was so safe that he could be killed by the weakest character in the book. It’s a statement on how good of a job he did. At no point in the history of the comic could he have been killed that way. It wasn’t until the very end that he was able to relax.”
This doesn't apply to any other character Rick has always been the one who was responsible for helping rebuild society he has always been the leader and he was the one to lead Alexandria after Deanna's death, He made peace with the Saviors and spared Negan. To give his death to another character wouldn't feel earned
