If Robb agreed to marry one of his daughters, do you think the red wedding would still occur? Just read Cateyln Stark’s POV in the first book where she talks with Walder Frey and to me it just seems like he wanted validation for his house, he wanted to be taken seriously as apposed to a laughing stock which probably deepened after Robb’s refusal.
