They're two reactions to the season.
I'm for S8, but my reaction is different to the 2 major reactions
(Major Against S8 reaction) First and major one is it was rushed and the events didn't have time to breath, lacked dialogue etc..shit hit the fan, so it didn't make sense and of course unpredictable as a consequence.
(Major For S8 reaction)The second is from pro S8 supporters is that it was predictable way back in the middle of the series around S4/S5, and the build up made sense before S7/S8 for certain character turns and everything else.
My own reaction is that, it wasn't meant to be predictable for their shock value intention, especially considering the lack of episodes and breathing space, but after watching it in hindsight the pieces can be connected and eventually make more sense than they did the first time, but I wouldn't put that on first time watchers.
