T-Dog is a selfish guy on the most part

im going to start off by saying his death is very selfless and the church van driving is also selfless but also a writing move where you give a side character background by adding extra info and good deeds off screen to make them seem better

Here are a few examples

He did not attend Otis' funeral. i thought this was disrespectful. He may have been ill but he walked out the house and stood around when the group arrived. The least he could do is attend the funeral.

He broke formation to get a riot shield that would only benefit himself. This could have gotten a few people killed by doing this. He didn't need the shield yet he risked other peoples lives for his own protection

He wanted to leave with Lori and Beth despite not seeing anyone die. Lori needed Carl and rick and beth needed Hershel yet he decided they should run, despite the chance that everyone would go to the highway. It took Lori nearly jumping from the vehicle for him to go with the sensible option.

When he wanted to leave with Dale, i understand he was sick but those thoughts were subconcious which is a part of our thought process.

Overall i think he was selfish and is not as nice as people make him out to be. I liked T-Dog but he was not the brilliant guy people say he is. He is an overrated character and is not a great guy
