I'm currently on season 10 and have also been enjoying going back to previous episodes. It's been very rewatchable.
It's almost a genre in and of itself. The show's not exactly surrealist but it is absurdist; it's not as satirical or as political as the Simpsons or as over the top and unrealistic as Family Guy.
There are even some "kids adventure" plots when the Belcher kids and their school friend characters are separated from the adults. I also love that the voice actors for Tina and Linda are men. It's bizarre and weird and just makes things so much funnier.
And the dichotomy between Bob's "oh my God" normalcy (except when he starts freaking out) and his kids', and even Linda's, behavior gets me every time.
