I will admit, season 8 should've been divided into two seasons. One season building up to the long night and the other season for leading up to the war between Daenerys and Cersei. I think they fit too much into 6 episodes but I felt the ending was good.
I always saw the bigger picture when it came to the show and it was the legacies of Ned Stark and Tywin Lannister. Tywin taught his children politics and the importance of money, where as Ned taught his kids honor and respect/ human decency. And the ending depicted this very well. Tywin's children literally killed each other, whereas Ned's children stuck together through hard times and not only survived but came out on top.
Ned's Legacy came out way on top when compared to Tywin's. Not only did his son became King but the North is also its own Kingdom.
So my question would be, if you hate season 8, what ruined it for you?
