To make it short, it's how Jon Arryn and Ned Stark found out that Joffrey, Tommen and Myrcella were not Robert's children. Robert and all of his bastards had that characteristic Baratheon (Durrandon actually) look, tall, strong jaws, dark black hair, deep blue eyes.
So that means that Rhaenys Targaryen, wife of Corlys Velaryon, daughter of a Baratheon mother, and both of her children should have that characteristic Durrandon look. But not Rhaenyra's sons.
