The Lucy Show - Lucy and Carol in Palm Springs (1966) S05E08

Chuck's condition.
I'm a massive fan of Better Call Saul. I think these first two seasons have been great. It's got so much of what I loved about Breaking Bad, and different aspects on top of it. I'm stoked to see what comes of it. But am I the only one who can't stand the plot of Chucks condition? It's just one of those things that even for these writers is just too nonsensical and a little absurd. This mental disease that so few people have and someone being so intelligent like he is, but not listening to reason. I don't know, the whole plot seems forced and a little absurd to me. Am I the only one that feels this way?

[Spoilers] Rick and Coral's gunshot wounds
Wouldn't it be cool if at some point in the show we get to see the scars of Rick's and/or Carl's gunshot wounds? To be honest im surprised they havent done it all ready. I just think it would be such a cool throw back and a good way to show that it put a permanent mark on them and that they have to live with it.

[MAIN SPOILERS]We're Not Doing it Your Way
Forgive me if someone has pointed this out already (from all I can tell, I haven't seen it), but I was re-watching season 1 for the first time since seeing season 6 and I noticed an interesting parallel between Ramsey Bolton and Robb Stark. In season 1 episode 9 when Robb captures Jamey, Jamey offers to settle the war in single combat to which Robb declines explaining,"If we did it your way, you'd win. We're not going to do it your way." Flash forward to 'Battle of the Bastards' (again, episode 9), before war, Ramsey meets with John and John makes the same offer of single combat to which Ramsey now declines. What's interesting is that, not only do Ramsey and Robb give virtually identical responses, they were also both ultimately defeated in battle (or in Robb's case, betrayed by former "allies").

Ozymandias opens with a throwback scene to the early RV cooking days. Was that scene filmed back in the day, or during season 5?
I guess that this question kind of applies to all TV shows that have throwback scenes, but if anyone knows the answer for this specific scene in Ozymandias, I'd love to know.

I still have trouble understanding the ATM death in "Peekaboo"
I could never figure out if the guy's head was crushed under the weight of the machine, because the way the skank tipped the machine over, it didn't seem very heavy to instantly crush someone's head, plus it came down from a not so high length. Plus there was this whirring sound as it came down on his head, like there was some kind of rotor spinning on the bottom of the ATM, but if that's the case, then I don't know what that is, or why an ATM have a rotor spinning down there.

[Spoilers] Benefits of the group being split up
While some people don't like the idea of the main characters being spread out across different communities, I think it's really good for developing new characters. I was prepared to be disappointed with how the development of certain characters would be handled this season, since the show has been notorious for putting all the main focus on the pre-Alexandria group and treating everyone else like extra, but I'm actually kind of satisfied for the most part.
Also, get used to the group being split up, because this is the future of the show. It isn't just about one main group anymore, it's about a series of different characters spread across different settlements. This will become more apparent than ever after the war with the Saviors. Since there are only a select few main characters in each community, it makes room for minor people to come into the fold and become important.
Putting a few characters that people actually care about in each new place is a good way to get people to care or learn about the new people they interact with, like Jesus, Ezekiel, Gregory, Dwight, etc. These people don't just feel like side characters anymore, which is good. It feels like they actually matter, regardless of whether we like them or not. Imagine if our first time seeing Ezekiel was when Rick met him in 7x09, and Carol and Morgan never went there. We wouldn't give a shit about his weird, non-cooperative ass.
Instead, we basically got an entire separate storyline focused on The Kingdom that came with its own main group. Idk about you guys, but I really loved the Kingdom episodes we got. I actually cared about Benjamin and Richard and was sad to see them go. Carol and Morgan tying the community into the main storyline with their internal struggles was interesting as well.
Here are some examples of how splitting the group up opened the door for us to give a shit about the new or underdeveloped characters, whether we like them or hate them:
Hilltop:
Main: Maggie and Sasha
New or minor characters that became important: Jesus, Enid, Gregory, Simon
Kingdom:
Main: Carol, Morgan and Daryl
New or minor characters that became important: Ezekiel, Benjamin, Richard, Jerry
Sanctuary:
Main: Daryl and Eugene
New or minor characters that became important: Dwight, Negan, Sherry
Rosita also went from being a pretty minor character to being one of the more significant survivors this season.
I know my logic is kind of flawed and can definitely be argued against, because splitting the group up isn't the only way to properly develop new characters, and good writing should just be the standard, but I'm just pointing out the benefits of this format. Especially for the Kingdom, because the storyline over there was almost like a new spinoff show with its own characters.
As a huge comic fan, I absolutely loved season 7 because it was great seeing my favorite comic characters come to life. I didn't mind the bottle episodes at all because I honestly love seeing people like Jesus, Dwight, and Ezekiel get screentime and significance. Also, the fact that I know what everything is building up to makes me more patient during "slow" points.
While I'm still pretty skeptical and kinda worried about Gimple's comments on how the show will go on for like 20 years, I have to say that based on what I've read, and what the next few seasons look like...I'm looking forward to the near future.

[EVERYTHING] The Four Horsemen of Westeros
Daenerys, Jon Snow, Cersei and The Night King are all easily comparable to the Four Horsemen.
Let me start with the first and most obvious one, which is that the Night King represents Death. Seeing as he is basically a ice-zombie himself and commands hordes of undead soldiers, i would say this one is pretty obvious.
The next one is Daenerys representing Conquest. We all know the Targaryens are pretty fond of conquering (Aegon the I anyone?) and Dany is no different. Since season 1 (and the first book) she's done nothing but conquer cities, tribes and setting free slaves. She even has 3 dragons as Aegon the Conqueror did which can be used to draw parallels.
The third one is Jon Snow, who is representing War. Think about it, Jon has done nothing but fight his whole life; dealing with the issue of being a bastard, having no mother, joining the nights watch and after that a literal war against wildlings/The Others and their wights/the Boltons. He is also an excellent warrior.
The last one is Cersei representing Famine. I'll admit I had to think a bit about this one but if you will allow me I will use a quote from Karl Marx; Religion is the opium of the masses. Guess what she robbed the masses from? Since she basically killed off the main branch of House Tyrell and since the Lannisters have declared war against them, the Kingdoms that are loyal to Cersei will starve.

The return of a very minor Breaking Bad character
Ok this is a total reach but here me out. Does anyone remember Hugo Archueleta? The janitor at the high school who got fired for having weed and they suspected he raided Walt's chemistry set? Well I waited through all seasons of BB for Walt and Jesse to remember how they screwed him over and hire him as muscle. Obviously it never happened. Maybe he will be the bridge to Saul finding out who Walter is. Maybe he got fired and went to Saul to take some legal action. Saul sends Mike to sniff around the school and learns about Walt and Jesse. I'm sure this won't happen but I always wanted to see Hugo return and that would make sense.

Does Chuck's mental illness manifest as a result of Jimmy becoming a lawyer?
Obviously Chuck's major conflict with his brother is their shared profession ("I can take Slippin Jimmy just fine, but Slippin Jimmy with a law degree is like a chimp with a machine gun"). We know that he seems to be functioning well enough up until Jimmy tells him he's passed the bar, and by the time the show starts it appears as if Jimmy's still relatively new to the profession (taking PD cases), so we can safely assume that his perceived sensitivity to electronics manifested in that short interim period. Am I just grasping at straws or is there something here?

Granted they get to it/decide to adapt it? Was talking about it with my girlfriend and so I thought what better place to extend the discussion then here? I'm curious to hear what you guys think.
*Think it'll be done in flashback style during episodes?
*Maybe an actual 30 minute mini series between the break of Part A & B of a season of the main series?
*Done in the vain of how FTWD gets little 2 minute or so season bridges during TWD commercial breaks? (Can't remember what they're called, but I remember it's Flight 462 and something else...)
*Or heck maybe even add it to the end of The Talking Dead as a 15 minute segment?
Thoughts?

Another returning Breaking Bad character
This article and multiple other media outlets that were given the opportunity to view and critique the first two episodes of season three of Better Call Saul, consistently mention "another Breaking Bad ancillary character" entering the show (aside from Gus, whose return is obviously confirmed by now due to AMC's marketing and trailers). I've been discussing the possibility of Skinny Pete or Victor either making a cameo, or having their own individual storyline in the show, similar to Tuco's in seasons one and two of Better Call Saul, considering their storylines coincide with Jimmy and Mike's. Who do you think this mystery character is, and what will their role in the show be?

[EVERYTHING] The GoT spin-off will be...
GoT will soon wrap up in two seasons, and I'm not ready to leave the world of ASOIF just yet. With the rumors about the spin off going around, what story would you want to see the most? What do you think is the most likely to be done? Here is what I think:
What I want: A series on the years leading up to the doom of old Valyria. The story would be told from the perspective of key power players in the Valyrian Freehold, including the Targeryans. I've always wanted the Valyrian culture explored, as well as their demise.
What is most likely: A series around Robert's rebellion. I feel like this would be more likely to occur, as it is a topic show viewers are already very familiar with.

Simon + Jeffrey Dean Negan = Comic Negan
Just wanna throw this out there...
JDM plays Negan a lot more straight than the comic. He says a lot of the hilarious one-liners, but beyond that, TV Negan is a calm, cool, thoughtful Fonzie villain while the comic is much louder, boisterous.
Enter Simon.
When I watch Simon (who very rarely shares the screen with Negan) I feel like I'm watching Negan also. He captures a bit more of the surliness that is present in the comic.
That leads to me think Simon's character was created for one or both of two reasons:
-JDM's take on Negan is a little different from the comic, but they still wanted to include some of that energy so they wrote that into a new character.
-We need a Negan going forward no matter what. Maybe Simon was cast just in case JDM didn't work out long term.. contract issues, etc. Simon = Negan insurance.

In the books Stannis is made out to be this amazing military leader, he devised a brilliant strategy to destroy the Iron fleet, won the siege of Dragonstone, held Stormsend throughout Roberts rebellion. Yet when he faces the Boltons(in the TV show) he doesn't seek any allies with the Glovers, Umbers, Karstarks or Manderlys. In the book he utilises the Northern houses since its the middle of winter. His campaign was doomed to fail in the TV Show as he is marching with a mercenary army who are not used to the cold northern winters. None of his strategic genius is shown in the show making his story line extremely boring compared to his role in the books.

Jesse's Fate After The Finale
I'm sure this has been covered a million times but last night I was re-watching "Rabid Dog" (s05e12) and something that Saul said got me to thinking.
For some reason, I just assumed that Jesse ended up getting back in contact with Ed the Disappearer but in "Rabid Dog" after Jesse has the revelation of what Walt did with the ricin cigarette and bailing on Ed, when Walt has Saul and his crew searching for Jesse, Saul makes the comment that "Somebody misses their first chance with my guy, there's no second".
So, if that's true...if Ed wouldn't give Jesse a second chance...I guess that leaves Jesse to flee on his own.
Thoughts?

[Comic Spoilers] Could they start the second half of season 8 with this comic arc?
Do you think it's possible that they finish All Out War in half a season and start A New Beginning in the second half. I'm eager to see how they pull off that portion of the comics and I feel like it reenergize the show.I think they can get All Out War done in 8 episodes but I'm unsure how they would go about promoting the second half of season 8. A large time jump of 2+ years might also feel unnatural in the middle of a season. Also, do you think the show might go with a bigger time jump? Let's say 5 years to bring Judith and Maggie's baby completely out of their toddler years and allow Carl to depict his true age.

[EVERYTHING] Questions on Qhorin Halfhand's orders/intentions
I have a few questions regarding Qhorin Halfhand's orders or intentions when ranging in the skirling pass with John Snow.
I was rewatching season 2 and I found it odd that the Halfhand asked Ygritte if she knew him, and what the freefolk would do if they captured him. He then touched her face almost tenderly, or as if he was examining her like a doctor would or something.
It was like he was seeing if she would work out as far his plan to join Mance. When she replied that they'd cut his head off, he acted as if he expected the answer but was hoping for something else.
Almost as if he wanted to go over WITH Jon (or instead of him).
This assumes that he was ordered to get 'someone' inside of Mance's camp.
Why do you think the Halfhand was like this? Checking over Ygritte like a horse, asking what would happen if he was captured? Was this the plan all along? Get Jon Snow to Mance?

Kind of like fear the walking dead but about Negan's pre-outbreak life and his rise to power.

Netflix Live - April Fool's on 3/31?
Does anyone else see the Netflix Live option hosted by Will Arnett? It seems to be an April Fool's joke, but it's 3/31 on the west coast, seems to be done to throw people off.
Hilarious, though, loving the commentary on the burrito.

Is the show over????????
never been on this sub reddit (surprised that there are still constant reddit posts about this show lol) Anyways is the show going to have another season!?!?! IM CONFUSED ABOUT THIS QUESTION because ive looked stuff up and seen that it was literally confirmed that there would be another season on multiple websites but its been so many years that it doesnt make sense why it hasnt been announced and ive seen some pretty in depth and cool videos about how walt could have easily survived the final scene but the amount of time its been makes it seem like another season isnt happening. Do we know if there will be more? Do we know ANYTHING about plans for breaking bad? Do we know its not going to happen? Do we know why?

(Spoilers) Can we talk about Walt's envy of Hank's relationship with Walt Jr.?
It's not talked about here much and it's a very interesting aspect of the show in my opinion. I feel like Walt Jr. cares for both Hank and Walt equally, but Walt doesn't seem to like it. Does anyone get this vibe or do you think (aside from the last few episodes) that Walt Jr. cares more about Hank than Walt? I really like knowing other people's thoughts.

[EVERYTHING] Why a marriage between Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen would not make sense in the long term.
With all the excitement of the upcoming 7th season, I got to thinking once again about the possible political marriage between Jon and Dany. While I wouldn't object to seeing the match on screen, I can think of several problems that would not make their union feasible:
- Daenerys will not be happy in letting The North remain independent, and Jon would not betray his lords by bending the knee right after being declared king. This means such a match could only happen with the prospect of Jon and Dany's future child inheriting both kingdoms.
- If they are to produce an heir, one of the monarchs would have to move to the others' seat of power. Neither the northern nor southern lords would be happy with their monarch essentially being a political hostage in another kingdom.
- If they are to live under the same castle, it would make it impossible for one of them to administer their kingdom from so far away. Jon could set up Sansa as his proxy in the North, but then that could just lead to more turmoil among his subjects.
- If it turns out Dany is indeed barren, then all of this would be for naught. Another succession crisis would plague Westeros once one or both of the monarchs dies.
- If Jon and Dany are able to produce a child, I rather think the northern lords would find it hard to accept being subjects of the Iron Throne once again even if their next ruler would have northern blood.
As you can see, my primary concern with a marriage between Jon and Daenerys is how their subjects would react to such a union. Ultimately they would have to accept because their King's/Queen's word is final, but in my opinion it would not do well to breed resentment amongst your subjects like that.
In the short term their alliance would certainly be most beneficial, uniting their armies against Cersei and the White Walkers to bring peace to the realm once again. I just don't see how their union lends itself for the stability of the realm in the long term. Anyways, I'm curious what other fans of the show and books think about this. Is it a bad idea, a good one, or an ugly one?
tl;dr: While a marriage alliance between Jon and Dany would help them in the short term to defeat their enemies and bring forth peace, they’re just setting themselves up for another succession crisis in the future.
EDIT 1: I understand that Dany's marriage prospects are pretty much limited to Jon only, but the fact that this is her best option shows how dire the state of things are. In a world with dragons and walking corpses, I agree that things have to change dramatically in order for the realm to carry on.
EDIT 2: All my points are assuming their marriage actually happens. Im not considering other things that might happen. Personally I believe that Jon will marry some northern lord's daughter, speacially after some of the season 7 leaks that have been going around.

[Theory] Ernesto is actually Tyrus Kitt.
I had this theory during the beginning of the second season, mostly because of their physical resemblances, then I took a closer look. There's not much evidence I have to support this other than we know that Tyrus Kitt was an associate of Mike Ehrmantraut and Gus Fring's liaison/body guard. If in this next season Ernesto gets involved with the shady dealings of Jimmy and Mike, which wouldn't come to a surprise since Ernesto has already lied to Chuck to cover up for Jimmy, then this theory is strengthened. Second, look at the striking resemblance of both Tyrus and Ernesto. Obviously same skin color, but same facial features and hair cut. Thirdly, their demeanor and presence whenever their in a room is similar. Ernesto is a quiet, do what he's told employee of HHM. Tyrus is the same way with Gus. Both of them use little words to get across their message. Ernesto is obviously much more timid when he talks, but that would be such a great character to watch develop, if my theory is correct. Lastly, as for their names. It wouldn't be much of a surprise is Gus made Ernesto change his identity when he came to work for him, so I think that would be the last of this theory's holes. Here are pictures to compare physical resemblance. Ernesto: http://ift.tt/2noLW3C Tyrus: http://ift.tt/2mUiK8n

Let's Talk About Gavin
Ah, Gavin. The reasonable Savior. The angry dad who's pissed at his kid for getting sent to the principal's office. What's his deal? There are actually a coupe articles out there, it was either Gimple or Kirkman who explained that he's just doing what he has to to survive.
Just wondering what other people's thoughts on him are. High ranking Saviors like Simon, Dwight, and Arat are all shown to be sadistic and violent. Just like Negan himself. How has Gavin managed to climb the ranks without being a prick like the others? He makes threats, took some Kingdom guns, and ordered Richard killed, but only after more than one warning. He's certainly the only Savior we've seen sympathetic over a character death (Benjamin).
Another thought I had– with Dwight joining up with Team Family, and Sherry/Honey probably following suit next season, do you think Negan's other lieutenant with a conscience will defect? He has relatively little blood on his hands and could prove a good asset if Rick is interested. I suspect as the tide turns in All Out War, we'll see more Savior defections.
The character intrigued me from the get-go. His actor is a theatre guy, and his performance has contrasted to the over-acting and overly-dramatic performances this season, like Rick and Michonne's monologues, Negan's excessive one-liners, or the up up up idiots.
Thoughts, opinions, etc.

[SPOILERS] Is anybody else sick of those ninja zombie attacks, like in the recent episode?
I can't help it, those "surprise" walker attacks annoy me so friggin much..
It's always the same where the camera zooms in close onto the characters face and then BAM WALKER ATTACK AHH.
For Example Dale's Death: https://youtu.be/F6qtg3DDhUc?t=16s He's out on a really big open field, it's super quiet. How the fuck do you not hear a walker sneaking up on you?
The most recent one was Gregory in the last episode. https://youtu.be/uFCK4khwvXo?t=2m42s I mean, those walkers a fucking slow AND make lots of noise, he spots the first one like what, 50m away, and suddenly outta nowhere there spawns another one exactly besides Gregory.
When Tyreese got bitten https://youtu.be/G1sxUu7RhW4?t=20s I mean you could explain here, that he was pretty exhausted and his thoughts went completly into those pictures he was staring at, so that could explain how the walker could sneak up on him. But still, again, it's a typical surprise zombie attack, that should have been actually heard by him.
I am sure there were a lot more, but those are just the ones that I could came up with spontaniously.
One other thing, annoys me too. Why do some walkers "play dead", are absolutely silent, do not move and suddenly wake up to kill someone?
For that see for example: Tina's death https://youtu.be/3xgP1_YmCs0?t=40s and Hershels leg https://youtu.be/KOm13ESc8wg?t=12s

Who else would be interested in a miniseries adaptation of the Count of Monte Cristo?
HBO or Netflix, if you're reading this, please take note.
TCoMC is generally considered one of the greatest books ever written. It's a timeless classic that has so many sub plots, complex themes, twists, and interesting patterns of character development that it has multiple layers of intrigue for a wide ranging audience.
I recommend it all the time, but at 464,000 words for the unabridged version (compared to 191,000 for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows or 293,000 for A Song of Ice and Fire) it's a significant time investment.
The 2002 movie adaptation was good, don't get me wrong, but it's impossible to tell the real story in such a short window of time. The end product ended up being trimmed of so much important content that it just didn't do the book justice.
Retelling the show as a mini series in the tone of Game of Thrones would make my life complete.
Thoughts?
Tl;dr: The Count of Monte Cristo is an amazing book, but it's super long and way too detailed to effectively pack into a movie. A miniseries, however, would be perfect.

I mean, it wouldn't cost them much to post someone who's trying to prove their allegiance to the Saviours in a three with binocular watching their every move.

Jimmy's ruse with the address... Ep9-Nailed
During that scene Chuck asked if he could have a few moments to correct the mistake. I'm guessing that means that it is possible that they could have granted that otherwise Chuck would not have asked. So while Jimmy definitely threw a monkey wrench into Chucks plan the entire ordeal going down exactly as it did seems to be more things working out better for Jimmy and less so for Chuck then a well oiled scheme. Or am I missing something is the result of Jimmy's deception the inevitable outcome?

[NO SPOILERS] Hoping you guys could help someone who's fallen behind (AKA should I catch up)
Hello folks, I got into game of thrones like 6 years ago after binging the whole first season. Since that was all there was at the time I bought up all the books and burned through those and loved them. I then watched the show religiously all the way through the first half of season four.
I eventually went back and finished that season and about three episodes of season five. For whatever reason I then kind of just stopped watching. There was no real reason I just sort of did.
Now, I've been itching to get back into it, but I'm a little hesitant. It's been long enough now that I have bits and pieces of major spoilers but not enough that id say it's not worth seeing for that reason alone.
What worries me is that I can tell people aren't as into it, and I've heard people voice some reservations about where the show has gone and how it is handling some characters since it's broken off from the books. Are these concerns founded? Is the general consensus that the show is slipping? I just don't have as much time to watch shows anymore so I don't want to get into it again just to be disappointed...
Tldr: read all books, fell a season and a half behind and am concerned about supposed drop in quality. Is it worth catching up again with limited tv Time?

Why Telltale's TWD: New Frontier Sucks.
Telltale's The Walking dead is probably the best game i've ever played and with the wait and the hype for season 3 you'd think my over-expectation is the reason that led me to believe the new frontier sucks but after pondering on that for a while i think no, It really does suck.
In one of the interviews with the game creators about season 3 they talk about how BIG it would be, surely it should have been big considering season 2's finale and the 3 very different paths players could take. But let's get this out of the way first, The New Frontier is NOT season 3. It is neither big nor is it the proper continuation to the Lee and Clem's emotional story and calling it a new chapter would just be inaccurate as well. The story of Javier GarcÃa feels like a filler story, sorta like the 400 days DLC that is just there to provide a nod while playing the real thing. Instead we see Javier's story take the spotlight while the real thing hide as a filler and even a very bad one at that (we'll get back to that), it's like season 2's ending just got scraped. Whoever you choose will just get killed off in a freaking flashback and if you didn't choose anyone you'll lose a finger, a very convenient way to tie up loose ends and a huge middle finger to fans.
But even if you like Javi's story let's take about why it just doesn't work as the main story for season 3. Transitioning from Lee RIP to Clem felt right, whenever i made Clem take a decision it would come from "this is what Lee would've wanted or done" and since i am lee it just felt natural to take over. Whereas Javier's transition felt awkward and discontinuing. Every choice that i make with Javier is just corrupted by my image and thoughts for Clementine and it doesn't help when i've just seen the flash back and played AS Clem. Of course i'm going to believe and side with her because I know her, Javier doesn't and this just shatters the immersion. Clem isn't this "back from the dead" cameo character, her story is unfinished and going about finishing it in a 3 minutes flashback is a Really poor choice for this amazing story.
But let's say you don't mind all that and i'm just not being objective in judging Javier's story. Well actually let's talk about that, the goals the Objective. Telltale's storytelling usually just throw you into the middle of the story and let you figure it out slowly from the inside but there was always a common theme a common Objective in sight. In the first season it was protect Clem and in the second it was survive, then later on stick by kenny or by your friends. And every episode had it's own little sub story to tell and you could tell what each one was about.
But so far the first 3 episodes felt all over the place, when Javier got separated from his family the first time there was an objective to find them but when Clem said "make new friends" at the bar i lost all sense of urgency. I felt like i was just being forced into clem's story which really made me think, why did they tie him up and move him into the truck if they were just going to shoot at them from behind later on ? And then and there when they shot his little niece i thought the story was going to be about revenge but Mariana's death was soon forgotten between the Rick-Shane style bullshit and the unexplained attack on Prescott (how are you going to ransack a city full of walkers ?) The game switch main Objectives and the antagonist is a mindless thug and then a middle aged asian lady ? (kinda like iron fist, what does the protagonist even want ?!)
So where is Season 3 ? it probably got scrapped if it ever existed for being too big to make room for all the fancy new licences they got and replaced with this filler story with Clem out-of-place flashbacks. It's not too hard to imagine that considering the dwindling quality of telltale's storytelling from the childish batman and the aimless michonne stories. Which happens right about time telltale starts receiving big contracts and stop caring about quality and start caring about E3 marketing and hype and not so subtle hints. (she lost her ring finger OWWWW)
If you are a newcomer or if you like the game so far, then you like the game so far. But this is NOT Season 3 and after 3 episodes in, I don't believe it's saveable at this point.

[SPOILERS] I wish they gave (group) more development.
I know this may be redundant at this point, but I wish they gave the Heapsters a little more development as a group. I feel like they are only there to collect guns and be bodies and nothing else. Now, let's look at the heapsters development: they talk funny, they live in a trash dump, they had a gladiator walker, they like to be a parasite by getting all benefits from someone else's hard work. I just feel this group was extremely rushed by the series and i wish they did a better job of explaining them. I mean, of course there is going to be a place for the garbage pail kids to develop in season 8, but i feel they could have explained them a little bit better. Your thoughts? i would love to discuss this.

My theory on the season finale
Don't read if you haven't read the comics.
So we know Holly was the person in Sasha's place in the comics, and that Negan murdered her and put the bag on her head and sent her to their gates, all that stuff. I was thinking, since Sasha's got the pill, Negan might try to take her to Alexandria and threaten to kill her if he doesn't get Daryl back, they proceed to trade only for both of them to be surprised by Sasha's dead self(because of the pill). Or maybe she takes the pill at the Sanctuary and Negan finds her dead body and it gives him some ideas, idk. But on another note won't Negan know something is up if Sasha dies without any physical wounds?

[No Spoilers] Need help finding these quotes that were on the show?
The quotes are.
1st About three people walking into a place, one being a swordsmen and the moral of the story being guess which two walked out? One them was the fucking swordsmen
2nd. If you have to claim you are something, you are most likely not because if you were you would not have to tell others, they would see that it themselves. Any help would be great.

[EVERYTHING] An unsettling thought about the Army of the Dead.
So I was thinking how this show will wrap up and then it hit me. The Army of the dead is huge, like unflappably huge and the two main ways of stopping them both seem kinda anti climatic. The first options are the dragons. We know they are super flammable and I feel like three dragons can put a quick stop to them real quickly (however an Ice Dragon could change things up there) However the more unsettling option is the Nights King. He seems to be the one who can bring the dead back and force them into his army. If he dies, does the army all die out Phantom Menace style? God I hope not.

Do we know what the full Alexandria interview looks like?
Similar to how Rick had a simple interview system to get into the prison in the show,
-How many walkers have you killed?
-How many people?
-Why?
Is there a list of the question asked during the Alexandria interviews? Has anyone made one?

So. She was at Summerhall too? I thought everyone died there?

[EVERYTHING] Where will House Arryn stand in S7 and beyond?
Apologies if this has been discussed before (although I'd say just about every possible angle is already online somewhere).
Where do you think House Arryn will stand in the wars to come? Littlefinger said to Sansa in S06E10 that he had declared for Stark for all to see, but she rightly pointed out that Littlefinger always plays for Littlefinger so his declaration really doesn't mean much.
Arryn could hold the balance of power where every other house is making moves to stand with either Lannister or Targaryen (or is basically defunct - rip Baratheon). That sounds like a position Littlefinger would want to take advantage of. Varys also stands with Daenerys, so Littlefinger would likely be positioned opposite him.
Do you think Littlefinger will swing the Vale's forces for Cersei? Would Sweetrobin hold any sway? Sansa may be in a position to turn him her way, but I'd say Littlefinger is still the master manipulator. Who would the Knights of the Vale support? Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they amongst those declaring their support for the King in the North at the end of E10?

Did you guys notice the reference to The Good, The Bad and The Ugly in the Breaking Bad finale?
In one of the very last scenes of Breaking Bad, Uncle Jack is left wounded by Walt's M60 attack on the neo-nazis. As he's discovered by Walt, he takes his cigarette and says "You want your money, right? You pull that trigger you're never-". This made me chuckle as it was almost exactly what Clint Eastwood's character Blondie did in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly when held at gunpoint, the difference being that Blondie survived. I think it really added to Jack's character – even at his very last moments, he thought he was going to survive like a movie hero.

For fans of 'Parks & Rec', give 'Trial and Error' a try!
This show is great and funny. It's an NBC show and it's in the same vein as Parks & Rec, for those who loved P&R. I don't see a lot of buzz about the show, sadly. The first 6 episodes are available on Hulu. I HIGHLY recommend giving this show a try!
A brief synopsis, from google:
Josh, a bright-eyed New York lawyer, heads to a tiny Southern town to defend an eccentric poetry professor accused of the hilariously bizarre murder of his wife. Josh's optimism never ceases despite his legal team of unqualified local misfits and a makeshift office behind a taxidermy shop. Winning his first big case isn't going to be easy, especially when his client continues to unwittingly say and do things that make him look guilty. Despite being complete underdogs, he and his ragtag team continue to take two steps forward, one step back to keep his client from stepping into death row.
edit: it also has John Lithgow!

[EVERYTHING] Could this be the hint about Night King's identity?
Knowing the showrunner's attitude towards the characters in GOT, could it be The Night King = The Night's King? I know in the books The Night King and The Night's King are two different character. The Night King is the leader of the white walkers while the night's king is the 13th Lord commander of the night's watch who went rogue and married a female white walker. GRRM said that coldhands is not benjen but in the show, benjen is coldhands. So, the same thing could happen with the night king. The showrunners just incorporated two different characters into one. One other thing, I just rewatch the final scene of S4E4 and found that there is One King and 12 behind him which could be a reference to the 13th lord commander of the night's watch. The video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=es9Q81MwPkQ skip to 1:44 and you will see what I mean.

[FINALE SPOILERS] TSDF Q&A for episode 16. DO NOT READ IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE SPOILED FOR THE SEASON 7 FINALE
The time has come! After some stellar offerings in the back half, the season 7 finale is almost here! There have been some spoilers making their way around, some of which are a bit all over the place, so we thought we'd make some clarifications and confirmations ahead of the finale. Much has been accurate and we hope this will put some things together in a concise manner for you. Feel free to ask questions – we’ll be replying with comments/posts. It’s the finale, Buttercups!
- Will Sasha commit suicide with the pills Eugene gave her? Yes, she does actually take the pills and will ultimately attack Negan as a walker (but she doesn't bite him.) The episode will open with Sasha in a dark, confined space listening to music. She has taken the pills by this time and is floating in and out of consciousness or memory, having conversations with Abe and Maggie. There will be a lot of these flashbacks. It will be blended well between current and past actions as not to seem that confusing. It’s done this way because of Sasha’s reflection of what her life is up to this point. Is she ready to do what she has to do? Has she really lived and made something with her life, and going out doing something even when the situation has her trapped?
Sasha takes the pills while inside a coffin that she voluntarily chooses to stay inside during the ride to Alexandria. When they get to Alexandria, Negan threatens to kill Sasha if Rick doesn't hand over the guns. Rick demands to show him that she's still alive. So, Negan opens the coffin expecting Sasha to be alive when surprise! Walker Sasha emerges and tries to bite Negan. He gets caught up in a tarp as he is fighting her off and they fall on the back of the truck. It's a close call, but Negan does not get bit. At the end of the episode Maggie and Jesus find Sasha in the woods. Jesus holds Sasha down while Maggie ends it with a knife.
-
Will Jadis and the Scavengers turn on team family? Yes. As suspected, Jadis is the "little birdie" who has been working for Negan all along. Tamiel may have been the one sent to do the dirty work but as Jadis is the leader, she is responsible. When the Scavengers first arrive at Alexandria they appear to still be on Rick's side. There will be a funny moment where Jadis in her robot-speak will ask Michonne if she cares if she has sex with Rick. The ick factor will be high with this one. However, when Negan arrives they turn their guns on Team Family, acknowledging that they got a better deal with Negan.
-
Where the hell is Judith? She’s safe at the Hilltop. Enid/Jesus/Maggie (holding Judith) are talking and Maggie is deciding what to do to help Rick and ASZ. Presumably, since Judith is already there, Rick came to see Maggie and asked that they stay out of this one just in case they needed backup. Maggie is considering whether to respect his ask or say screw it and go and help. She figures since if Negan knows what they’re up to then he'll need her help. Jesus is pleased that she is making the decision instead of Gregory. (Aren’t we all?) Enid takes Judith from Maggie and gives her something and walks out. Maggie looks down in her hand- Hershel’s watch. Maggie/Jesus just look at each other-knowing. Maggie makes the decision and Hilltop shows up at the last second to push the battle in Team Family’s favor.
-
Does Eugene show signs of reverting back to supporting Team Family? Unfortunately, no outward signs of it. He and Sasha exchange words as they get ready to leave the Sanctuary to ASZ, and refers to TF as “they” as in “what they’re planning”. Sasha picks up on this. He also tries to talk Rick and ASZ into surrendering when they arrive at ASZ.
-
Is there another “line-up” like in the first episode of the season? This one is the mini line-up like what the graphic novel readers are already familiar with. But it’s only Rick and Carl. Negan says he’s going to kill Carl then let Lucille take Rick’s hands. Rick tells Negan that he can do it right in front of him and then take his hands, but the Saviors are still going to die. Negan takes that to be “permission” to kill Carl, so he raises the bat to crunch Carl (“you just said I could do it”) when Shiva shows up and pounces on a nearby Savior, turning him into tiger chow, causing Negan to immediately stop. Good kitty!! Chaos erupts as a full-blown battle begins. The Kingdomers (including Carol and Morgan) storm in guns blazing, taking down Saviors and Scavengers. Maggie and the Hilltoppers also show up at the last second, much to Negan's disgust. He's quite surprised by the tiger and the fact that Maggie is alive.
-
So is Dwight definitely helping Team Family? Yes, there is a little bit of conflict. Daryl wants to kill Dwight and puts a knife to his face. Tara encourages it. Dwight explains that he can recruit the laborers and go outpost to outpost and clear out the Saviors. They eventually let him go. Dwight tries to stop the Saviors by cutting down the trees in the road. But it just slows them down as they use chainsaws to get rid of the trees. When Dwight returns to Alexandria with the Saviors, he is visibly shooting over Team Family's heads as not to hurt anyone. Also, he was not aware of the deal between the Saviors and Scavengers. We may see Daryl find a chess piece carving by the front gate with a “didn’t know” message on it.
-
Is anyone from Team Family hurt? Rosita and Rick are both shot, but live. Rick is shot by Jadis.
-
Is there a close call for Michonne? Michonne gets in a fight in a brownstone balcony while Rick and Carl are in the mini-lineup. (Comic book readers may see it as a nod to the Andrea tower fight and fall from the comics.) A woman falls from the balcony. The audience will know it wasn’t Michonne, but Rick won’t. It is Farron, a GPK woman. Rick later finds Michonne bruised and bloodied and they share a sweet moment together.
-
How does the episode end? The Saviors and Scavengers retreat after a nice ass whooping from Team Family, Kingdom, and Hilltop. The episode ends with a bit of a nod to Glenn. In a small time jump, it has Maggie talking off-screen showing all the groups now together with the leaders of each group talking to the crowd, discussing the war they’re about to embark upon (we just see them talking, no sound but Maggie’s voice): To suffer and stand, to grieve, to give, to love, to live. To fight for each other. "Glenn made the decision, Rick. I was just following his lead." In the final shot of Maggie’s hand, we see Hershel’s watch with a glint of sunshine reflecting on it.

Currently making my way through season 3.
I'm pretty new to this series and started watching it about two weeks ago, and I'm so obsessed with it. The storyline is incredible, and I really like Rick, Daryl and Glenn as characters - and a lot of the others too. I was just wondering, I don't remember if it's the second or third episode, but when Carol is practicing on the dead walker, who was spying on her? I can't wait to figure it out, but I honestly can't figure out who that is. Also all my friends told me that this season is pretty lame, but I though season two was moving along very slow, so hopefully this ones not that freaking slow. I was kind of relieved when they left Hershel's farm to be honest.

You can now mark a post with a spoiler tag on /r/betterCallSaul! (desktop users only, beta)
Site-wide spoiler tags for submissions have just been implemented by reddit on a few select subreddits; /r/betterCallSaul is one of the subreddits participating in the beta.
You can tag a link post or a self post as a spoiler by clicking 'SPOILER'. Alternatively, it looks like just putting the world "spoiler" in your post title automatically tags it as a spoiler post. (I just tried that now.)
Once a post has been tagged as a spoiler post,
- It is labelled with a tag
- Its thumbnail is replaced with an icon
- Its preview (if available) is hidden and requires a click to reveal
Here's what tagging a post as a spoiler looks like: link post / self post
The admins have informed us that this is only for desktop users at the moment (mobile support to come later), and that it only applies to submissions at the moment. For comments you guys will have to keep using the spoiler tag format that each individual subreddit's CSS uses.

[EVERYTHING] How cool would it be if...
Ok so this post was inspired by a recent post about Bran flying via warging into the dragons.
So I thought of this scene and how cool it would be: Later on in season 7 Dani and her entire army meet up with Jon Snow and his entire army. The scene would sort of parallel when Torren Stark knelt to Aegon the Conquer. Jon, Sansa, Davos, Tormund, Brienne, Bran, and the other Northern Lords are on horseback. Their army stands behind them, considerably smaller than Dani's.
Jon: We have come to negotiate terms of peace Dani: You don't seem to be in the position to negotiate Jon: The North has fought off larger armies than yours Dani: I have dragons Jon: Do you? Bran: Wargs into Viserion and Rhaegal They fly overhead and land behind Jon Dani: wtf

An argument for the interesting duality/balance struck in S7, especially between Rick and Negan [SPOILERS]
I thought about not posting this, but maybe someone out there will find it interesting. I mostly wrote it to get my own thoughts straight and have only seen each episode once, so sorry if I get any details wrong.
Say what you will about season 7 of the Walking Dead: it's had its pacing issues, some bad acting moments, and etc. But overall I've been noticing that Scott Gimple and the writers have been doing a lot of legwork laying down details that form a very unique yin-yang dynamic between the Saviors and Alexandria, and particularly between Negan and Rick. I've been thinking a lot about these details in the last few episodes, particularly in the latest one, S7E15 "What They Need." DON'T READ ON IF YOU HAVEN'T SEEN THAT EPISODE.
1) Villainous Negan believes that he is the hero of his own story and goes out of his way to place himself on a moral high ground, fully believing that he is the "good guy." Meanwhile, Rick, the actual hero of the story, slowly becomes more villainous and immoral.
The most controversial part of this post: let's talk about Negan and "Rapey Davey." I know a lot of people will argue about this, but it seems clear to me that this scene illustrates that Negan fully believes himself to be a good guy and heroic in his own way. Negan goes out of his way to punish rape, condoning it as evil ("I wouldn't want to live in a place where [no rape] wasn't a rule!") and demonstrating to Sasha that he is a reasonable guy who knows the difference between right and wrong. He clearly believes he is the hero of his own narrative trying to maintain order in the world: perhaps he does it through brutal means, but he is ultimately is not a villain (to himself). He goes out of his way to establish himself as a heroic figure, not even necessarily to "trick" to Sasha, but apparently because he really believes it himself.
The irony here is that the show has spent a lot of time and energy showing the situation with Negan's wives, and the coercion, misery, and pain involved with that dynamic. At the very least, in the case of Sherry's diabetic sister Tina, who was faced with the choice of either dying (through denial of insulin) or having sex with Negan, it would have been rape. Unwilling, reluctant, or non-consenting sex achieved through threat, coercion, or impending death is rape. So Negan places himself on a moral high ground over Davey, but in actuality participates in a very similar behavior, just through different means. Still, he fully believes he is the hero of his own story and is blind to his own villainous acts.
Similarly: the imagery and behavior displayed in this latest episode shows that Rick, the hero we're supposed to be rooting for, is becoming more Negan-like and villainous at the same time. I think it's undeniable that the imagery of forcing helpless, scared people to kneel in a forest while surrounded by a group of armed strangers is a pretty obvious callback to what happened in the very first episode of this season. "Your shit belongs to me now (but my reasons are justified, I need it for my people)" is pretty controversial and pretty Savior-like. The only difference is that Rick offers the choice for Oceanside to join his cause, whereas Negan simply forces others to join the Saviors as fact. But the parallels are pretty clear. You can argue that we know Rick's need for guns and his behavior is justified, but I'll argue that, (in Negan's own mind and from his own perspective), so are Negan's actions. We've just had the privilege of following Rick, not Negan, from the start. So this season has illustrated the slow converging and crossing of these two moral arcs.
2) Similarly: clean-shaven Rick -> bearded Rick. At the same time, bearded Negan -> clean-shaven Negan. There has been some screen time and dialogue devoted to this weird parallel, so I know I'm not reading into it (because why then would anyone devote that much time and dialogue to talking about it in the show when it didn't mean something)?
When we first saw Negan in his first appearance, he was bearded (and, if you're reading it as allegory, powerful, violent, and 'alpha'). After coming in contact with Rick's group, he then says a few different times that he really should "shave this shit," meaning his own beard. Then when he finds the video of Rick first arriving to Alexandria (back in season 5, fully-bearded Rick in savage throat-biting mode), Negan goes out of his way to say that Rick should have kept the beard, commenting that "even I wouldn't fuck around with that guy." Instead, clean-shaven Rick comes off as emasculated, humbled, and weak.
Soon after this, Negan takes Carl back to Alexandria and participates in a weird emulation of Rick. He makes himself at home in Rick's comfy suburban house, takes off his jacket so that he more heavily resembles Rick in his shirt, has dinner with the family, plays father figure to Carl, and essentially emulates Rick's role as the good guy-family man hero. (Again, taking steps to move towards the "good" end of the spectrum, even though we know he is actually villainous.) It is in this episode that he uses Rick's razor and bathroom to shave, perhaps unconsciously (or consciously!) mirroring Rick's clean-shaven state and perhaps his status as a leader.
In the very same episode that Negan does this, Rick finally decides to take up the fight against Negan and the Saviors. He essentially re-finds his masculinity, courage, strength, and power, and immediately stops shaving from this point forward. By the time we get to S7E15 and the invasion of Oceanside, we see Rick at his Negan-est--and with a fully-grown beard!, paralleling Negan's violent actions at the beginning of the season. We definitely know not to fuck around with that Rick. Meanwhile, clean-shaven Negan is saving Sasha from rape and playing at a Rick-like hero figure.
3) The interchanging of Eugene and Dwight.
I could be wrong about this because I don't know how it all ends (Dwight could be a sleeper agent, Eugene could be playing the long game), but it's interesting to me that in the very same episode that we "lose" Eugene and see him turn traitor against Rick's group for Negan, we also "gain" Dwight and see him turn traitor against Negan's group for Rick. "Hostiles and Calamities" especially devotes itself to Eugene's slow conversion to the Saviors and Dwight's slow defection, and again illustrates another parallel/convergence of two moral arcs.
I have more examples, but honestly I don't know who the fuck would want to read more of me rambling on about beards and whatnot, so I'll leave it at that. Say what you will about the show, but I personally think there is at least some skillful weaving of parallels and dynamics here. Would love to hear anyone's thoughts if they have any. Onward to the finale!

Bates Motel has finally caught up to the general story arc of the original 'Psycho', and its amazing.
The show shows the slow descent of Norman Bates from a relatively normal (yet odd) boy into a crazed split-personality murderer. Its been a slow burn, but each season has improved on the last and now that Norman has finally in been in the 'full Psycho' phase for a while, it has really payed off.
One of the best parts of the show is that they have taken several artistic liberties with his backstory/ the overall plot, so that while still feeling familiar, it doesnt feel like you're just rewatching the same old movie. They have managed to turn Norman Bates into a sympathetic character, that you can't happen to feel sorry for despite everything that he has done.

[SPOILERS]He's just bored
So a few weeks ago I was thinking about posting that I think Negan has failed to adjust to the ever changing conditions of the world. Obviously Negan didn't start out running a community, bedding a bunch of women, and bashing skulls in lineups. It all happened over time. Early on he was probably just really good against the dead. Someone people latched on to, like Rick. Over time it probably went to his head a bit and he started getting more and more ruthless. However it happened, it wasn't instant.
I felt though that he had failed to continue to evolve his strategy. That bashing skulls in of a few people worked to get communities to submit early on, but now it didn't quite have the same effect. If you think about Negan bashing in Glenn's head back at the original camp instead of now that wouldn't have got Rick or anyone else as riled up. No one was that close to anyone unless they were before the dead. Back then it would have made everyone in the group scared and willing to submit. These days though everyone knows everyone and it pisses them off more. Makes them willing to fight. The strategy to me just doesn't work now.
After the last episode though I've decided Negan is just bored. From the start it seemed silly to even mess with keeping Rick and a lot of the main group alive. They are obviously good fighters and dangerous. Negan clearly doesn't need more stuff as he already had enough for his group, and Rick and company offed a bunch of his people so there is even more. Best bet would have been to kill off all the fighters and take the rest to one of the other communities and tell them to live there and work for Negan.
Instead I think Negan keeps Rick and the rest around because it is fun. It's something to do. Fuck with Rick, see what he does, have a game of it. We know now that Negan knows Rick is up to something and he really isn't even that concerned. If he was he would just go to Alexandria and wait for Rick and kill him or something. Instead he's letting him do his thing so they can keep playing their game. Negan clearly doesn't value life so all of his team is expendable. Just pawns to play with. Have a little war game, laugh it off, do it again.

What is the thing on Jesse's front driver-side door in the later seasons?
I see this rod looking thing on his car door and have no idea what it is. Does anyone else know?

Master trapper, survivalist and bushcraft MacGyver - I’m Stan Zuray, star of Discovery Channel’s Yukon Men. AMA!
A Dorchester native (GO RED SOX!), in 1973 I made my way across country and found myself in an isolated part of Alaska near the Tozitna River. I liked it so much I decided to stay! I barely made it through my first winter but learned to survive by trial and error with no shortage of near death experiences along the way. I spend my days trapping, dog sledding, and defending myself and the other locals from wolves, bears and other beautiful beasts of the Alaskan wilderness. I currently live about five miles outside the village of Tanana. I bought a government surplus house for $100…on the condition that I would move it. And so I did, to a remote area of woods near the Yukon River. There’s no running water or sewer system, but it’s my home. In 2012, Discovery decided to make a show about how we live our lives in Tanana along the Yukon River – the show returns for its 6th season on Friday April 21st at 9PM ET/PT!

Especially Night's Watch could use them since they are stationed in a frozen wasteland how is it possible they don't freeze their asses off? Dornish could use some head protection as well but apparently they don't give a fuck about sunstroke.

I have a theory that Rick will die in the season finale.
For two reasons:
Andrew alluded to this in front of the press, Norman Reedus was asked for comment in the article and said that upon reading the script he was called by a panicked Lincoln and had to talk to him for two hours to calm him.
When talking about how he wants Rick to die the whole pannel feels uncomfortable, body language is closed, most of the people are crossing their arms and Andrew Lincoln has these weird emotional faces, like he's very affected. At 0:45 he stops joking for a minute, starts having a disgusted face and whispers "fuck you" to somebody who I couldn't identify. Maybe because he wasn't allowed the death he wanted ?
I'm afraid the next episode will see Rick die.
Oh well, I FOR ONE WELCOME OUR NEW SAVIOR OVERLORDS.

With the finale upon us, list what LIKED or even LOVED about this season.
With all of the negativity surrounding this season l (we all know exactly what I mean), I thought it would be nice to list the things you enjoyed about this season. I am very excited for the finale and I'm interested to hear what you think.
Things I LIKED:
-
Anything and everything to do with The Kingdom. I really think they hit the nail on the head here.
-
The character arc of Richard, he fit perfectly into this story and the actor did a great job.
-
The relationship between Gregory and The Saviours, this was done very well.
-
The struggle and breaking of Morgan.
-
Morgan's relationship with Benjamin, Carol and Ezekial.
-
The attempted breaking of Daryl and his badass escape.
-
The world building. Hilltop, Oceanside, The Kingdom, The Sanctuary and yes even The Garbage Pail Kids (I'm almost positive we will get an explanation as to why they are the way they are). More communities means a better war and more story opportunities.
-
The relationship between Carol and Daryl.
-
The continued redemption of Gabriel, he's quickly becoming one of my favorite characters.
-
JDM's version of Negan.
-
Kung Fu Action Jesus and his badass off-the-wall kick.
-
The Negan lean.
-
Easy Street.
-
Frankie (hot as F).
-
All of the easter eggs and foreshadowing.
Things I LOVED:
-
The Saviours. They are the best thing about this season IMO. They make you really, really hate these assholes. Even the ones that have one or two lines. Everything from the way they talk to their smirks and 'You can't touch me cause my dad's a lawyer' attitude. Hate them, and that's the point.
-
The exposition of The Sanctuary and Eugene's entire episode showing what happens when you say yes as opposed to no like Daryl.
-
The brutality of the first episode, I'm very glad they didn't hold back here. I was just as shocked as when I saw The Red Wedding and I already knew this was coming. They did a FANTASTIC job with this episode. Best of the season easily.
-
The acting. The actors that play Eugene, Ezekial, Gregory, Richard, Morgan, Negan, Simon, Gavin, Morgan, Gabriel and especially Rick have had stellar performances all around. Bravo.
-
The breaking and subsequent rising of Rick, this is the central story point and is awesome to watch.
-
Dwights entire storyline and character mirroring with Daryl. This is super cool to me and a nice nod to the comics in that Daryl doesn't exist there.
-
Anything and everything Rick related.
-
Anything and everything Ezekial related.
-
JERRY!
-
SHIVA!
-
Rick and Daryl's bro hug. Best of all time.
Let me hear yours!

[SPOILERS] What do you think Negan would do...
When he finds out that Maggie is still alive. He really seemed to have a keen interest in her, but he had to let that go after Gabriel covered for her when he was able to convince him she died.
Do you think he would do everything in his power to get to her, or how do you think he would react and respond to that? What do you think?

I just noticed something small yet probably significant about the very last scene of the last episode of series finale *Spoilers*
Walt dies in a meth lab and DEA and everyone thinks they know for sure he was the one still cooking instead of Jesse. Then DEA would find the bodies of the Nazis which they assume Walt killed and it really was Walt who did that.
Like I said this is probably not even worth mentioning but everyone had assumed Walt killed Hank (his own family) then was evil and ruthless enough to still keep on making meth and killing more people in his path. All of this just adds to his legacy even more and with all the facts and assumptions, probably made him the most evil ruthless drug kingpin that ever existed in the Breaking Bad world.
Edit: I had originally wanted to just talk about the scene related to Walt dying but I decided to add the other stuff

[SPOILER] Why do some people on this sub praise Eugene for being realistic but hate Rosita?
I'd like to preface this by saying I am loving Eugene in 7b. I agree he's super interesting and tbh I would be like that too. He's doing the best he can to survive and that's a tactic that is realistic and entertaining to watch play out.
But people constantly berate Rosita for her equally valid and realistic way to grieve. People would turn into angry, pessimistic people and often people do try to be heroes. It's totally realistic that someone would be consumed by grief and revenge. Also Rosita's the only one who Spencer's death really affected, so she's had the pain refreshed more recently too.
I understand Rosita has put people in danger, got Olivia killed, but Eugene just gave a suicidal person (well he thinks she's suicidal) a poison pill. It's like your best friend saying they want to die, and you handing them the noose. They're both as valid and as dangerous as each other. I have really really enjoyed both characters this season, and it just makes me sad that one is praised so heavily over the other
This is just my opinion of course, and feel free to try and change my mind, I'm open to seeing other viewpoints

[MAIN SPOILERS] I've noticed a trend...
This may be common knowledge, but it's something I just discovered. Throughout all of the ASOIAF books so far, the only recurring POV character who has truly died is Ned Stark. Taking into account Catelyn's transformation into Lady Stoneheart, every other POV character has survived all five books, although characters around them who were never given the POV treatment have died frequently. This list includes Bran, Catelyn, Daenerys, Jon, Arya, Tyrion, Sansa, Davos, Theon, Jaime, Samwell, Cersei, Brienne and Melisandre.
I feel like George R.R. Martin did this to emphasize the importance of Ned Stark's death. His death set off a wild chain of events that has shaped the story throughout ASOIAF, and therefore he is the only POV character whose death is as important as the lives and activities of all of the other POV characters.
My question for you guys: Do you think that this trend will continue until the epic finale of the series? It seems fitting to have Ned continue to be the sole POV death until the books are coming to a close (and after that, anything could happen). I can't see any of the characters in that list being killed off before the end of the series because their stories all seem to be building toward something greater. I think it's more likely that they will all survive until the very end, at which point all of their stories will intertwine in the payoff readers have been waiting years for. So, what do you guys think?
