The show is multiple choice and based on speed. This means that instead of a song starting, the teams buzzing in, and then saying the title like Jeopardy, it becomes a game of hand-eye coordination, where the winner of each song comes down to the hundredth of a second.
-
The score is recapped for each team after each song. This is awful. Even after the first song, we have to understand that team one has 0, team two has 0, and team 3 has 1000 dollars. This is particularly annoying because it only takes the teams about 2 seconds to lock in their answers.

The songs are guessed within a couple of seconds, but the song continues to play for up to 20 seconds sometimes. For example, the opening bass-line of Queen's Another One Bite's the Dust plays. Everyone gets it instantly, but then we see a shot of the audience who roboticlally stand and start "dancing". We then cut to the teams who are dancing and clapping. We then cut to Jamie Foxx who is twerking. It's a little much.

The time between songs is painfully long. Painfully.
The show could so be improved if it was in the style of Jeopardy. Quick, fast paced, not trying to show off Jamie Foxx or October. If it was truly about skill, it would be fantastic. Even better than Name That Tune. Unfortunately, the show is so "network" that it is unbelievably painful to watch. So much potential!
EDIT: The final rounds are more like the Jeopardy style. Getting better. Could still be faster.
