[MAIN SPOILERS] Jon Snow, Shireen, + Ending Theory

Haven't visited this sub in a while so forgive me if it's already been brought up but...

In the scene where Davos confronts Melisandre, it also comes out that she and Stannis murdered Shireen in order to appeal to the Lord of Light, who also (supposedly) resurrected Jon. Does anyone else thinks that this could furthers contribute to Jon's uneasiness and ambivalence about coming back to life? He was already distraught about the fact that he was murdered by his own people for doings whats he believed was for the greater good and now he learns that a child was burned alive and that it could have been why he was allowed to return from the dead. Now he's Kings of the North and has to fights the White Walkers. Lords only know what he is going to have to sacrifice in orders to defeat them...

This all leads to my theory that at the end, humans will indeed come out victorious and that Jon will play a crucial role but instead of taking the Iron Throne or being an integral part in the rebuilding of Westeros, he will instead go off into exile by himself (my personal theory would be up north where the Wall once stood) as he will be unable to handle all that he has done and all that has needed to happen in order for the war to be won. This not only would constitute a "bitter sweet" ending but also mirror Lord of the Rings, one of Martin's major influences.

Thoughts?
