I'm sure most of you know that Chris Hardwick's late night show "At Midnight" is ending in the next couple of days and it seems like an end if an era.
Sure, G4 TV, the network dedicated to video games, went off the air for the final time in 2013 but "At Midnight" reminds me of the low budget variety shows that G4 had. I remember seeing Chris for the first time on G4 back in 2004 and he shined. Come to think of it, G4 was littered with talent that went on to greater things (Olivia Munn, Chris Hardwick, Kevin Pereira).
Now, I know that nostalgia is affecting my memory of how great G4 was. There was plenty of bad shows produced with poor presenting coughCheat!cough.
I just miss the unabashed nerd culture entertainment that was G4. Now Chris Hardwick will be doing his NBC/ABC shows and thus he will have to be more polished as a presenter. I guess all I'm saying is, I miss G4 and the fact no one gave a shit about what they were doing on extended cable. Please tell me i'm not alone.
