Why on earth is "Ballers" on HBO so freaking horrible. It's a big budget show, Wahlberg's company produces, seems like they spend a ton of money on sets and pieces and cars and jets and blah blah. Why does the writing and acting make me wanna vomit?? Could it be good?

Literally every scene is cringe worthy. I get the "twist" or "deal" or whatever is that there are a lot of professional athletes that do cameos. But I cannot make it through an episode. This is the same thing I saw with the last few seasons of entourage which was also a Mark Wahlberg production. Jesus it's just really bad, and looks like that spend a ton of money on production with Ferrari's and Lamborghini's and huge houses and Vegas locations, then there's embarrassing green screens of Dwayne at a monster truck event that was maybe the most embarrassing visual I've seen presented by HBO in a decade. Like is the rule of the day with Closest to the Pin productions that includes Wahlberg and Berg just get big time athletes and expensive set pieces and screw any writing or acting skill whatsoever?? It drives me crazy cause Johnson is good and charismatic in a lot of stuff and some people involved in the production are okay but this show is an abomination. I guarantee the stars, including Rob Corrdry who knows a thing about writing are aware. The show is really vomit enducing as much as I want to try to like it, but I can't make it thru an episode. Is the rock doing the show to keep the suits he wears in it??! Doubt it he's gotta plenty of loot. Someone help me understand.
