Idk if it was ever revealed in a quick piece of dialogue on TWD or if it's explained in the book but what's the time difference between the two shows?
We know that Rick was in a coma for a month(?) or so and then 8 seasons of the show. Obviously 8 years hasn't past on the show so let's say they were at the original camp pre-CDC before the farm for about another month. Then let's call it another month at the farm. We don't know how long at the prison but def closer for 6 months to a year.
Then things get sketchy cause the group splits and stories are told non-sequentially so probably another 3 or 4 months until they reconvene at Terminus. But the trip from Georgia to Virginia must've take at least another 6-10 months because of the need to scavenge for food and gas. Then since they've got to Alexandria it's gotta be almost another year.
So that takes us to approximately 3.5 years. I'm not gonna squabble about how Carl and Judith have grown I'm just trying to figure out a timeline.
And as far as Fear TWD goes it seems like their about a year or so into the apocalypse. A few months in LA and then since they got on the boat it seems like they've been on their journey for a year, maybe a little longer.
Does that sound accurate or am I totally off?
