Lord Eddard Stark wanted to take the Iron Throne from the Lannisters and give it to its rightful owner, Stannis Baratheon. But in the end, he was killed, getting his head chopped off by his favourite greatsword Ice.
King Stannis Baratheon wanted to take Winterfell and The North from the Boltons and give it to its rightful owner, House Stark. But he lost his head too.
And guess what, his head was chopped off by the same Valyrian blade that killed Ned Stark, Oathbreaker.
