This isn’t an advert before anyone says so, but i’m writing a book similar in initial theme (a zombie-style apocalypse happens grinding Earth to a halt) and I often take aspects of The Walking Dead and flip them on it’s head. For example, severing a limb to stop a bite/scratch infection does not work unless the blood is cauterised within a minute.
My main inspiration from The Walking Dead is the evolution of threats both the show and comics go through. By that I mean: - Zombies - Morally dubious survivors - Organised enemy group - Bandits - Several communities - Disgusting tribe-like group - Military type community It is an evolution that I am planning on doing in my book(s) if I finish it.
I was just wondering if anybody else takes inspiration from TWD (both show and comic) when writing/drawing/creating their own work.
