How else does Gus start tracking Mike if not for Nacho informing him of Mike's intention of killing off Hector ? Also it is highly unlikely that someone from Hector's crew is working out of their domain secretly and GUS won't know about it. I think Gus and Nacho go as back as atleast when Nacho orders a hit on Tuco. I don't think he will take such a bold step without someone like GUS assisting him. They also have a thing in common. They both work for the cartel and not in the cartel unlike the Salamanca.
