Why walkers' blood is still liquid?

If they rot, their blood should coagulate. It was never shown any trace of coagulated blood on walkers, just a blackish liquid as blood. If the virus alter the organism of a dead person to not coagulate its blood, this could imply that make walkers' blood coagulate should kill them. Or at least cause rigor mortis, effectively paralizing them. I know rigor mortis isn't caused by coagulation of blood. I'm only gessing walkers' can move because of some weird hydraulic system of rotten body fluids. Just some plot pseudo-science.
