A thought I had about the season 8 finale and the end of the war (I HOPE)
There are a few factors that bring me to this conclusion and most are spoilers so as follows:
I suggested back at the end of season 7 that Carl was going to die in this season (8) and part of why I thought that was it may well tie into the redemption of Negan.
Given the review spoiler above I think that leads Negan to surrender to Rick and declare the war over himself, declaring Rick is now the leader. It would certainly be unexpected form a story point of view.
What do you all think will be the close to season 8?
