Did Gimple put Kang in a similar position he was in when he took over as showrunner?

When Gimple took over, Mazzara had bungled the Governor finish so Gimple had to quick wrap it up in Season 4A.

Gimple just ended his run with the tidbit of Maggie wanting to push against Rick. Now Angela Kang has to come in and quick wrap up that non sense.
