I feel awful for Skyler.
This subreddit (and fans of BB in general) seem to have a lot of hate for Skyler.
I’m on my (4th?) rewatch now, and every time I rewatch it, I grow sadder and sadder for Skyler. She is a caring mom who is suddenly married to a criminal who lies and lies and lies. I’m specifically watching S2 E4 right now, and the long shot of her face as Walt goes on and on about how his second cell phone ringing MUST have been his alarm, is just heartbreaking to me. She is such a genuine and loving wife, and in return she’s just lied to again and again and the worst part is that she knows it. You can see it in her face.
I just feel for her. Every time I rewatch this show I hate Walt more and deeply sympathize with Skyler more.
EDIT: She did cheat later on, I kind of forgot about that when I made this post, she isn’t a total saint, but I mostly am talking about her in the first two seasons. And I still think Walt cooking meth and everything he did is far worse. You can’t compare her cheating to what he was doing.

Saul kidnapped scene
This has probably been asked a bunch but maybe he's pointing fingers at Nacho in relation to who fucked up Don Hecter?
(in case anyone forgot the dialogue)
Saul: it wasn’t me it was Ignacio! He’s the one! Oh no. Oh no no no. Siempre soy amigo! Siempre siempre soy amigo!!
Jesse: shut up! Alright just speak English.
Saul: Lalo didn’t send you? No Lalo?
Jesse: who?
Saul: OH thank god
Being that Lalo was sent to keep things in check after Hector was no longer able to run the business.
May be a long shot but just want to see what you guys might think of this.

Breaking bad movie/Greenbrier COVER UP for BCS Season 5?
I think there is a good chance this“greenbrier” breaking bad movie is a hoax out there to hide from fans the fact that we are going to have some big characters returning in the last(?) season of better call Saul. Creating a fake movie production is the only way to prevent people from finding out too early that Jessie, Walt, and others are actually going to appear in the tail end of the series. They’re not making a breaking bad movie, they’re making season 5 of better call Saul. Thoughts? Could this be possible? Couldn’t this explain all of the secrecy behind this Breaking bad movie?

Finally just finished Breaking Bad after starting 1 week ago and...
-
I hate Walter but also Understand him as well. 50% Hate, 50% Love
-
The more I think about Jesse, the more I hate Walter
-
Jesse Pinkman is prob one of, or the most tragic characters I’ve seen on screen. I don’t think I’ve sympathised with anyone so much.
-
Andrea getting shot in front of Jesse is up there as the most upsetting scene in the entire show for me.
-
Walter giving up Jesse hiding place was the peak of my hatred and desire for death of Walter.
-
Felt like Skylar was overreacting when she first found out and really got on my nerves with how she was always miserable, but I understood and she did a lot of help. I notice she is hated by most.
-
Gus was amazing.
-
Mike is the type of dude I want on my team. He’s a great character and real asset.
-
Worst thing Walter did was almost solely contribute to the tragedy that is Jesse.
-
I didn’t really care for Jane. Her death only really meant anything to me because of Jesse. I didn’t care for her character.
-
I was astonished when Skyler said she wanted his cancer to come back. That blew me away.
-
I found Season 5 to be very depressing and intense, I found it difficult to binge. I went through 1-4, then season 5 came and was really heavy. Not a bad thing, just a observation.
-
Walter is so insane that I believe if given a chance to start again from when he was diagnosed, he’d attempt to do it again.
-
Jesse > Walter (even though I 50% hate him) > Gus > Mike > Hank in that order for the most part.
-
I liked the kid, Walter Jr. usual the kid in a lot of shows are annoyingly naive, stubborn and get in the way. But he was a nice addition.
-
Walter died satisfied and tied up all loose ends, Jesse is free (not dead or in jail like I dreaded). So I’m satisfied with the ending.
Brilliant show, painfully suspenseful, incredibly heartbreaking moments, layered characters
Next in line of GOAT status shows: The Wire, then Game of Thrones!

Question about the end of S9Ep11.
Did anyone else notice that Connie was writing something in her pad of paper before she even noticed Darryl? Is is possible she was writing her own "goodbye note"? In the last montage where we see all the couples/groups, Connie's group are all drinking and celebrating that Luke is back, but you can see that Connie is in deep thought. I just don't understand her motivation for wanting to go after Henry. I don't recall them ever having any interactions so what is it that she couldn't live with? The only thing that comes to mind is the baby thing, (you savage Alpha!) but that still doesn't explain her feeling the need to look for Henry.
What do you all think?

TSDF Q&A Episode 9.12 “Guardians”
Q&A Episode 9.12 “Guardians”
Big thanks to our source for the spoilery delights!
1. How does the episode begin?
It opens with Alpha drilling Lydia about what happened at the Hilltop and what she learned about them. Lydia lies about most of it. Specifically, she says the Hilltop doesn’t have many guns, and that there's no trade. Lydia doesn’t mention the Kingdom or Henry.
2. What happens with Henry when he is caught?
He is taken back to the Whisperer camp and tied up. Back at the camp, Lydia punches Henry to conceal her association with him. Alpha doesn’t seem to buy it, and she orders Lydia to kill Henry. Luckily they get interrupted.
3. What does Michonne decide to do knowing about the danger they are facing?
At first, Michonne wants to isolate Alexandria more than ever, and is more adamant about not participating in the fair. However, at the end of the episode, she finally decides to let the people vote on the issue again and promises not to veto their decision. We see a group leaving with food and supplies for the fair. So we assume Alexandria voted in favor of the fair.
4. What do Negan and Michonne talk about?
About how he could help her lead Alexandria. He mentions that he knows her leadership is slipping away, and that's when Michonne learns about the window and his eavesdropping. Because of this, Michonne orders that the window be closed up.
5. Does Father Gabriel find out about Rosita’s pregnancy? What is his reaction?
Yes, apparently he already knew by the start of the episode. At first, he wants to break things off with Rosita. However, it is actually Eugene who convinces Father G to stick with the relationship.
6. Are Judith and RJ in this episode?
Yes, but you only see RJ asleep in his bed. Michonne also confronts Judith about talking to Negan and tells her not to do it again.
7. Is there any conflict amongst the Whisperers?
Yes. One Whisperer and his girlfriend try to challenge Alpha. The man says Alpha broke her own rules just for her daughter, which in turn put the entire group in danger. This doesn't go well, and Beta ends up beheading the woman with a wire, while Alpha stabs the man to death. EDIT: Beta places the wire around her neck. There’s some uncertainty at the moment whether he is actually the one to do the beheading. It might actually be Alpha.
8. Does anyone die? If so, who and how?
Yes. The two Whisperers that are executed, and a whole bunch of other Whisperers at the very end when their camp is overrun by walkers.
9. How does the episode end?
The bodies of the two Whisperers that were executed are taken out to a clearing and are fed to a small herd. Daryl and Connie witness this. We learn at the very end that Daryl and Connie followed them and led that herd right to the Whisperer camp. Daryl wears a Whisperer mask while he’s leading the herd to the camp. Lots Whisperers are killed, and they rescue Henry. Lydia also leaves with them after Henry refuses to leave without her.

Foreshadowing.
I was reading a post from a few days ago, a lot of the answers for why people enjoy re-watching the show is for all the foreshadowing/ nuances you may miss first time round. One I have just noticed is when Jane tells Jesse to lie on his side after taking heroin and then obviously later meets her fate the way she does. My question then is, what are some other great examples of foreshadowing that people might miss.

So this is my first time watching BrBa, and I've got to say that I absolutely love it! I just watched this episode, and my god, this exact episode really shines why I love this show. The comedic (When Jessie wacks Walt) and serious (Walt's "perfect death") aspects of the show really comes to light in this episode for me. How did everyone else think of this episode, especially since it was such a big change of pace from the rest of the season. I was in tears for the most part, from laughing and/or crying

Has a show ever "un-jumped the shark"?
Jumping the Shark is the moment when an established long-running series changes in a significant manner. This can range from something relatively small like the introduction of a new gimmick, all the way up to the magnitude of a full-on Genre Shift, in an attempt to stay fresh. Ironically, it is this moment makes the viewers realize that the show has finally run out of ideas. It's reached its peak, it'll never be the same again, and it's all downhill from here. It's Ruined Forever!!!
For those not aware Jumping The Shark refers to an episode of Happy Days where Fonzi jumped over a shark on water skis. This was after he had jumpted over barrels on his motorcycle and got injured and later admitied it was a stupid thing to do. Thus negating any character development. This is generally used to refer to a moment where a show has hit its peak and from there, it's all downhill. Just as an interesting sidenote, while the link goes to Da' Tropes, the phrase pre-dates TV Tropes by many years. It even had it's own website documenting user submitted moments when shows jumped the shark.
What I am postulating is if it is possible to un=jump. Can a show, after hitting that peak, return to it? Does that ever happen, or once the jump occurs, is it pretty much doomed to be downhill from there? Discuss.

How the movie from last episode will play into the season finale
First: MAJOR COMIC SPOILERS BELOW!
In the comics, Alpha comes to the Fair and abducts people and kills them on the pikes. I think the abduction will play out differently on screen.
Instead, everyone will be watching the movie (even better if it’s a horror movie) and we’ll see a montage of people realizing their friends aren’t there while the movie plays, while others are oblivious.
By the end, we’ll realize Alpha has abducted several characters and we’ll end with the pikes.

[Mod Raven] Update: All sigils have been added – here's how to get your house flair!
See this previous post for full details. You can now show your allegiance with a house flair next to your name – and while previously we only listed ~100, we now have all the ones we had before.
HOW DO WE CHOOSE A FLAIR?
It depends which version of Reddit you are using.
If you're on old Reddit, first click "edit" next to your username on the sidebar, under the number of subscribers to the sub. Here's a pic of where I mean. A list of flairs will pop up, but the text isn't displaying just now. You can use control+f to find the one you want, though, or just hover over them - here's an example.
If you're using the redesign, on the top panel of the sidebar, just under "Create Post", you'll see "Edit user flair". Click that. Here's a pic. If you can't see this anywhere, you may need to click "Community Info" to expand the sidebar, and this option will appear.
If you're using the official mobile app, click the three dots at the top right, and then "Edit user flair". Here's a pic.
--------
CAN WE REQUEST A FLAIR?
Yes, for now. On-season it might depend on whether the mods have time. We'd just ask that it follows a few specifications.
You can request any sigil we've already added plus:
- any character in that house from the ASOIAF universe (E.g. House Stark sigil + Brandon Stark)
- any house words (E.g. Sansa Stark sigil + Winter Is Coming)
- any character's nickname (E.g. Sand snakes sigil + Lady Nym)
- any unofficial house words (E.g. Lannister sigil + "A Lannister Always Pays His Debts")
To request a flair, tell us in this post, or message the mods.
--------
HOW ARE THE FLAIRS ORDERED?
The top 100 or so are ranked in order of popularity, and grouped by house, to an extent. E.g. All the Tyrell groups are together with the most popular Tyrell flair. After that, it's alphabetical, and then the ones most recently added.
PS. If you're on redesign and it says something about flairs not being available on this subreddit, try again later. Not sure what's causing that glitch, but that has worked for people.

Comedy Central should get more credit for continuing to create great original programming
I've seen a handful of threads on /r/television over the last couple months slamming Comedy Central for a lack of original programming. Some of the threads have started talking about the fact they'll play 4 hour blocks of That 70's Show/South Park/The Office during the day instead of standup like they used to. While I can't refute that point, the conversations I've seen then evolve into criticizing their original programming as well, which I don't agree with.
South Park is the flagship series for Comedy Central originals. Sometimes it kind of gets lost as a CC original because Matt and Trey are larger than life, but it's CC's anchor and South Park continues to put together quality episodes. This has been one of the biggest shows of our generation and set the bar for CC originals.
Broad City is arguably their flagship comedy 2.0 in terms of cult following and critic ratings. Season 4 was a little celebrity heavy for me as the show increased in popularity, but season 5 has been good at getting back to form. I'm sad we only have a few more episodes before the series finale, but Broad City has been a fucking outstanding show since the first episode. I love my wife for many reasons, but a large one is getting me to watch this show. 4 AND 3 AND 2 AND 1 1. She also got me to watch The Wire ... she's pretty okay.
Tosh.0 might not be as popular as it was when it first debuted, but the show remains really funny. Admittedly, the format hasn't changed much but I essentially view this show as a millennial AFV. That format never changed from its core and neither has Tosh's: watching stupid videos of stupid people doing stupid things. Doesn't need to be any deeper than that to keep me entertained. Plus Tosh is a surprisingly solid interviewer as well to add another good layer to the show.
The Daily Show is another longstanding CC original. I personally haven't seen any Trevor Noah episodes because I'm more of a John Oliver guy, but plenty of people still watch. I can't speak to this much first hand, but feel obligated to include it in this list given its history.
Drunk History may have lost a little bit of its charm from the original web series, but the Comedy Central format continues to be hilarious. They always have great comedians, both telling and reenacting the stories that keeps the show engaging. A few episodes ago started with Thomas Middleditch playing John Muir which is everything I fucking need in my life. This show is equally fun to watch while drinking and devolve into a mess together.
Corporate is one I've been enjoying the hell of. This is more anecdotal but when Workaholics (another CC original) was on the air, I was their age and very much identified with it: a few years removed from school, working my first real job, and trying to be taken seriously at work while holding onto my party hard phase. Old Man Ders got me through my 25th birthday CITY BREAKDANCER MAN. Aaanyway, when I saw commercials for Corporate, I looked at it almost like a Workaholics 2.0. I was in a different phase of my life and thought I'd identify strongly now that I'm around their age (I think?), working a serious job and into my career. I've definitely had a few moments of pretty sobering identification like working for a large corporation, answering e-mails all fucking day, and justifying an expense report but it's more over the top than most jobs which has allowed the show to carve out a dark humored niche for itself. The side characters are zany like most good comedies and has definitely become a weekly favorite of mine.
The Other Two is only 5 episodes into its first season and has been outstanding so far. I saw Drew Tarver do improv with Ben Schwartz a few months back and gave it a shot since he was really funny. Shoutout to Gil Ozeri who was also doing improv with them and is fucking amazing. But imagine my luck when I tune in for Drew Tarver and both Ken Marino and Molly Shannon have supporting roles! Maybe I'm just a sucker for Ken Marino but sign me the hell up. It's a funny premise led by a phenomenal cast; I wasn't familiar with Heléne Yorke going in but she's another standout. I'm really excited for more of this show - only regret is picking it up so early and not having more to binge through in 1 sitting. The also end each episode with "The Other Show" which is essentially their own 5 minute Talking Dead. Definitely seems a little ballsy to start those in season 1, but it's been cool to learn more of the show regardless.
Comedy Central Roasts also technically count as originally programming even though we seem to only get 1 every other year lately. Traditionally I'm a big fan of the roasts but the Bruce Willis one fell really flat for me. The Franco one was pretty great though so I'm not writing the series off or anything, just hope they don't follow the Willis path.
Comedy Central Presents (aka The Half Hour), The Jim Jefferies Show, The President's Show, and This is Not Happening are also all considered current CC originals according to Wikipedia, but I've never seen any and can't speak to them.
I've been enjoying their originals so much lately I just started Detroiters (a CC original that aired for 2 seasons and was cancelled last year) and while I'm only 5 episodes in, that show is funny as fuck. Similar to Corporate, it can be super zany and off the handle, but the 2 main characters kill me. I was sold by episode 2 when the security guy was giving his pitches about cops shooting people and Chris Brown's dick. Also a shout out to Secret Girlfriend that was one of my favorites but I might be the only person in history who watched that show. But I digress.
This turned into a wall of text from my original idea but the hypothesis stands: Comedy Central really continues to put out quality original shows. The shows might not be super popular or pull in ratings (yikes I just looked and Broad City has never had more than 1m viewers for an episode and Thursday's episode had 0.251m which was the lowest rating they'd ever pulled in) but the point remains. If you're willing to seek them out, Comedy Central still produces some quality, fresh, and unique originals that are worth watching.

Dark Sets
There are so many darkly lit sets in BCS+BB. I get that it’s very cinematic and sets the tone and defines the emotions of the scene, but holy shit wouldn’t Davis and Main get cited by OSHA for being so dimly lit. It’s almost as though Chuck was a partner. On the flip side, of note is how brightly lit Los Pollos Hermanos is.

I'm so happy that TWD is good again but...
... I hate that we had to sacrifice Fear for it. That show had an amazing storyline by the end of season 3 but all was scrapped for a ridiculous crossover with Morgan. And Gimple being involved put the final nail in the coffin.

When i first watched the show i didn’t start on episode one.
I accidentally started on episode 4: Cancer Man and it was so interesting. Because it had so much ambiguity but still kept you in the loop about all the important things going on. If you go and watch cancer man. That could totally be the first episode and then go back to the first three. Next time you watch the show, try it that way. So interesting.

Breaking Bad Sequel Idea/Theory
Right, so we all know that Walter died at the end of the last season, one key part of Walter's reasoning behind becoming this insane drug lord, is money for his family, my idea for the next Breaking Bad, is his daughter, hear me out.
The daughter has grown up, it's quite a few years since Walter died and now they don't need to reuse as many actors because it's in the future, obviously they'd have to use Jesse's actor, of course. The daughter eventually find out that her dad was like the god of meth, but unlike you'd expect, she aspires to be like him, become the greatest of the drug community, she, after long convincing, get's Jesse to tech her the basics of making the stuff, obviously he's old and rusty, might have a bit of Post traumatic stress for story, cause why not? Anyway, she starts selling the stuff and rumors go around that Heisenberg is back, after so long.
This is just a little theory I guess of what a sequel could be, might be a different drug, might be set somewhere else, might not even be about drugs at all, but here's my prediction of what it could be, or at least something like this.

After Peekaboo
Jesse was obviously badly affected by the events of Peekaboo, and I wonder why he didn't quit the business then and there. He had to have made the connection that cooking meth was supplying users who were parents, and clearly kids are a hard line for him.
The way that he reacts to finding out Andrea is a mom when he tries to sell her meth ("What kind of mother are you!?") shows that he finds it unacceptable when kids are around. I think the show takes Andrea's side, though, suggesting that Jesse wasn't right to get mad at her when he was selling it in the first place. Iirc he apologizes and they start their relationship.
It's the death of a kid that gets him out of the business altogether. Jesse's not nearly as talented at lying to himself as Walter is, so I don't think it's outright denial or self-justification that keeps him going after seeing the state of the Peekaboo kid. What do you think?

We're going to see more of the Walking Dead world in the next few years. Where in the world would you want to see the WD zombieverse and why?
I was having a conversation with my spouse and we got to talking about how messed up it would be seeing the Zombie outbreak happening at Disney World.
Just picturing zombie character actors shuffling around. Maybe a plucky band of employees and a few guests they saved using the park as their survival ground. The employees use all of the underground passages and back alleys to navigate the park. If those aren't available, they put on one of the thick character suits to slowly shuffle wherever they need to go. If the zombies bother them, they can simply lay down still in the thick suits while others draw the zombies away.
They raid the stores for clothing and supplies. A rival group is in Epcot and keeps the agriculture exhibit going. They figure out how to travel on the monorail lines between the parks for trade...
Will it happen? No. Is it fun to consider? Zombie Cinderella says yes.

Theory: Michonne's going to wind up on a [spoiler].
This is going to sound batshit because she is supposed to be maybe the second-safest main character in the show but I think Michonne is going to wind up on a pike at the end of this storyline. Below is a list of potential groundwork the show might be laying out for it...
- Saying Danai Gurira is sticking around through next season as a series regular. Series regular is virtually meaningless as a term because the story sometimes has recurring guest actors who are in two-thirds of the episodes and series regulars who sit out half of them. The plot right now has a six year time gap to play with and has already showed that it wants to dive into it-- that might not end just when we know what happened with the scars and the community breakups. Who is to say that we won't see Michonne in S10 in a couple of flashbacks and that's it? That suddenly puts her into the mix when it comes to who could be on a pike and then you could argue that the story might be headed in that direction.
- Rick's consequences & RJ. When Rick inevitably returns to Alexandria, it can't be a 100% purely happy reunion. He's been gone forever and so much has happened in between-- to him and the communities both-- that something has to give. With RJ in the mix now, you could almost see RJ's existence as being all he has left of Michonne when he returns. RJ & Judith are alive but he never sees Michonne again. Brutal? Yes. But, I mean... Glenn and Maggie, man. (Not for nothing but this would be quite a parallel to that because of the whole... head-related... aspect of it and Negan's moment of brutality in one story and his potential redemption plot set up in the other, as it seems likely he will go after Alpha.) Trust me, I'd rather a Rick/Michonne reunion but this might be just as likely.
- Michonne's present redemption plot. Right now, Michonne is presently stuck in how she couldn't let go of Rick (sort of almost how Rick couldn't let go of Carl, but even worse in a way) and it is breaking apart the communities. The same communities that are going to have a fair by the end of it. Along the way, Michonne's story arc is going to be to move towards mending those (pardon the expression) fences and rejoining the communities. Getting her to this point in the story would be a big character arc that ultimately is about redemption before she does something heroic but winds up on a pike.
- Judith & Negan. While Michonne is Judith's mom, Judith and Negan are each other's story arcs so far. Their bond is Judith's only storyline and Negan's entire redemption plotline basis-- that's pretty big stuff. As it is, Negan is kind of Judith's substitute dad as it is and if everything goes to hell, he might wind up one of her main parental figures. The fact that the groundwork so far includes establishing more of a Judith-Negan baseline than a Judith-Michonne-or-really-anyone-else baseline doesn't bode well for Michonne lasting much longer in the series.
- Judith's family picture on her bedroom wall. The writing says that her family will always with be with her. Michonne is the only one in the picture who is still alive while the picture shows Rick and Carl. It could be that, in the future, it's *entirely* Judith's late family.
- Her hair. It's especially distinctive this season. Kind of screaming out for the braid on the pike.
- The Abraham-like twist of it all. The shock of the Lucille scene on the show was thinking Glenn had escaped his comic fate in a twist and Abraham had taken it instead, only to then realize that it would be both of them. On the show, Michonne went to help Eugene earlier in the season. In the comics, her closest counterpart at this point in the story, Andrea, dies after going to help Eugene when a herd sent by Alpha takes over Alexandria. Andrea gets bit and dies. A remix of this might be someone else gets bit but "the Andrea" still dies as a result of The Whisperers' attacks. That maths out to Michonne in danger of winding up on a pike.
- Ezekiel says he looks forward to signing the charter in the future with all the leaders of the communities, including Michonne. While this could also be seen as more dooming of Ezekiel to his comic fate, it's also worth noting that it was Michonne who wrote up the charter. There's something to be said about the irony of her never being able to sign it. It could be that Ezekiel somehow makes it through this and Michonne takes his place as one of the two bigger characters to wind up on the pikes.

Who's gonna call Francesca?
I don't know if it's the right moment to make a post like this since season 4 hasn't yet come out in streaming in the US, but whatever!
Spoiler from here of course:
At the beginning of s4e5, "Quite a Ride", in the flashforward Jimmy and Francesca are dismantling the office: there's mess everywhere, Francesca is destroying documents, Jimmy is packing his bags and picking up all the money he has and giving detailed instructions about how to throw those destroyed documents. BUT, right before the goodbye Jimmy asks her where she will be November 12th at 3:00pm, Francesca just says that she'll be there and adds "If it doesn't ring at 3 on the dot, I'm gone", but Jimmy assures her that it will ring.
Now, I know it's early to make assumptions, but in your opinion who will be on the other side of the phone? Why is Jimmy sure the phone is going to ring, wherever this phone is? And in general, what's the point of the entire scene? I mean, it's the first scene set during the events of Breaking Bad and it doesn't add anything to the plot, except those two lines..Any opinion?

So, imagine game's up...BB is over and Saul's gonna flee to Omaha. Then he remembers that guy that knows this other guy that knows this new age hippy shit stoner guy who can give you ten minutes with a younger you. Almost fifty, and about to step into his forth persona, (Slippin' Jimmy, BCS Jimmy, Saul, Gene) he thinks "Fuck it, why not?" (Time-travel/paradox principles DON'T apply.)
Think Green Light, when Saul sends Mike to stop Walt from going back to Beneke's. As Jimmy is about to make a mistake, Saul swoops in and bundles him into a car and takes him to the office. What inadvisable thing does he stop Jimmy from doing? What do they say during this intervention? Does Jimmy's trajectory change?

Although the late seasons are superior season 1 will always be my favorite
There is something about it that I love that I can't really explain. It was how it all began. It is fun to think that when this show first started it looked like it would be a decent tv show. I bet no one could have ever predicted the monster it would inevitably turn into. It was before they met fring before Jesse and Walt lose their souls. It's just a science teacher and a delinquent who partner up. It was the perfect mix of drama, disfunctionality, action and comedy. Now even though the remainder of the show is without a doubt 1000 times better I find myself rewatching the first season the most.

To bring some actual useful conversation into a meme sub, What do you guys think will happen in Season 5?
Honestly, I feel there will be more tie-ins to TWD aside from Dwight because Gimple doesn't understand the fact that Fear was supposed to follow a new group with different scenarios. In the same apocalypse.
And I do feel like Daniel may be closer to OG Daniel than any of the other OG's were to the OG selves. But that's not saying Much. And I do feel like Daniel will have a vendetta against Strand but have it end last minute with Morgan telling Daniel he can know what it is- giving Daniel the power to see red. So Daniel doesn't lose people and then himself.
What do you guys think?

Chuck and Jimmy Season 1 relationship was great, until...
Doing a re-watch, season 1 was a lot of fun to watch Jimmy and Chuck get on the same page.
It showed that Jimmy really cared about Chuck - bringing him his supplies and all the requisite newspapers and doing it "just so" to Chuck's picky likings. I mean, maybe Jimmy's enabling his brother's illness and helping him avoid real help/treatment, but he's just trying his best to get by and help Chuck get by.
Then they find the Sandpiper case, they're working together. Jimmy's work ethic pulls Chuck out of, what, 24 months of recluse and inactivity and gives him purpose and distracts him from his own illness long enough that he goes outside without realizing it.
The brothers are on the right path, they're working a great case with merit - and doing it the proper way. And then....
Chuck (rightly) knows this is too big for them, refers it to HHM, only to block Jimmy from getting picked up by HHM or being able to work it further.
Chuck has to have seen that by putting his focus and all his intensity into this case, it made Jimmy "go straight". He was working it the right way. It's an honorable case. But he just can't let his brother get any credit or success. He has to sabotage him, and deceive him by letting Howard look like the bad guy, when really it's Chuck for no reason besides his own.
Jimmy has been nothing but a totally stand-up guy for Chuck. His lifeline to the world. The only person that cares enough to check in on him.
Would Jimmy still have morphed to Saul if Chuck wasn't like this? Would he have taken a path of more or less a credible lawyer able to practice successfully?
Or do we think Chuck was right, he's a "chimp with a machine gun" and only would have been bound by his nature to spiral out of control and contribute in so much destruction?
Obviously it had to happen that Chuck would be an antagonist to Jimmy, but really I guess I wrote this thought out since I really liked the Jimmy+Chuck team when they were on the same page. It's a shame Chuck burned it. Without his influence, I don't think Jimmy "breaks bad" into Saul, even if he was Slippin Jimmy. It was just kind of sad to me that they didn't have Jimmy do something dumb and really give Chuck a good reason to screw him over in the first season for more evident reasons.

So if the show ever ends up explaining how the zombie apoc started, what explanation would you prefer? For example, a naturally occurring virus or spore. Or a bio-warfare terrorist attack, or maybe a supernatural explanation?
I for one think a terrorist attack or experiment gone wrong scenario sounds cool, because I like the idea that humanity can create things that can completely wreck the world. Its kind of a reminder that we will probably be our own downfall.

How long would it take to remove all walkers?
I know realism and the Walking Dead don't really go hand in hand, but I was thinking about a part in the book World War Z that describes the clean-up that's attempted where the Humans have basically turned the tide and start the path of clearing every single zombie that's left. It's been awhile but I remember parts where they talk about basically a giant line from Canada to Mexico moving east or west clearing anything in their path. And then there were parts that discuss all the zombies that are on lake and ocean floor that have to be removed as well.
In all versions of the Walking Dead (Comics, Shows, Games) no matter how many years go by it's always shown that the total number of walkers doesn't really ever seem to dwindle. How many walkers does each character kill over the course of the series? Hard to say for sure as we only see what we see. There could easily be tons of off-screen/off-panel kills but I'd say it's safe to say for most of the major characters they've killed several hundred each. I was wondering if anyone has done any sort of rough analysis to determine how long it might take to achieve something like World War Z.
There's roughly 300 million people in the US around the time the comics begin (vague, but somewhere between 2000 - 2010). Let's be super conservative and say only 1% of the population survives the initial outbreak for the first year. That's 3 million individuals across the US. Now that leaves 297 million walkers for those 3 million survivors to clear out. Simple math would say if each of the 3 million survivors kills 100 walkers each and doesn't die themselves then all would be gone. But that's spread out across the entire US and there's a lot of empty land with most major population centers having the higher density. As we've seen in all forms of the franchise some survivors are more useful and capable of killing walkers than others. Some live sheltered lives and were lucky like Alexandria Safe Zone. Others had a hard time right from the beginning and had to adapt to survive or die.
More specifically the DC Metro area where Alexandria is located is around 6 million population. If we apply that same 1% figure then we have 60,000 survivors which seems pretty high based on how many characters we see so may be 1% is still too liberal.>! However, what is interesting is this is a pretty close number to what the Commonwealth has claimed with 50,000 survivors across all the communities. !<I'm not sure if we ever saw a number for Wellington or Richmond but neither seemed that large. Ohio's population is close to 11 million so 50,000 people would need to kill around 200 walkers on average to clear them out.
It's been years since the outbreak began and these communities now have essentially trained armies/militia protecting others who are not as capable in fighting. I think I've seen numbers around 4 years having passed in the comics but longer on the show. I'll go with the lowest number. Let's say we ignore the first year of chaos and assume they've only killed walkers for 3 years. With 3 years and ~200 kills per person you'd only need to kill 1 walker every 5 days and there would none left. Group/Herd walkers are more dangerous to humans but single walkers are relatively easy.
Would we ever see the end of the walker threat completely? Would the medium basically end at that time? Imagine going months/years without even seeing a walker. Would they become a myth to those who grew up post apocalypse outside of those who die from natural causes? Would it be like Game of Thrones and the White Walker threat being a story we tell children to scare them?

Some folks thought the movie theater scenes were filler for the last episode. I have a theory on why they were important for the story.
So if you've read the comics, you know Alpha sneaks into the fair to learn more about the communities. This past episode, Ezekiel and his crew went into Whisperer territory to get that projector bulb. They also killed about 40 walkers. The walkers are the Whisperer's greatest weapon and my guess is they kept them locked up in that movie theater like you would an arsenal.
So if Alpha or one of the Whisperers ends up sneaking into the fair, they will notice a movie playing. And probably someone like Jerry will joke about having to get it in some old movie theater and how many walkers they killed to get it.
To Alpha, this is basically a foreign group coming into their lands and destroying their property, and will most likely convince her she needs to take more drastic action against them.

Everyone's blaming ONE particular character, but who is REALLY to blame?
Hey everybody. In the last couple episodes I have seen a lot of people expressing hate for Henry. Saying how he's stupid, he's going to get people killed and how he should even die before that happens.
In the last episode (hence the spoiler warning), Henry decides to sneak out in the middle of the night to go rescue Lydia. And everyone is pissed at him.
But here's the thing. He's a 14 year old boy. He's filled with hormones, a sense of his own invulnerability and is smitten with a girl. When you were 14, how many stupid things did you do?
I really think the blame here goes to Daryl and Tara. Henry already tried to run away with Lydia. And he made it pretty clear to Daryl that it was eating him up inside. So how stupid are Daryl and Tara for not thinking that maybe a 14 year old boy would decide to go after the Whisperers? Both Tara and Daryl know about that escape tunnel at the woodpile. It's a great way to get out in an emergency. But wouldn't it make sense to post a guard there? Especially after Henry already used it once?
Henry is a kid and doesn't realize how his actions affect others. He's not an adult. There's a reason in this society we expect parents to keep an eye on their kids. Teenagers nowadays do all kinds of stupid things. Why is everyone down on Henry for being a normal teenager?
Yes, the stakes are much higher in the post-apocalyptic world that Henry lives in. Which is why Tara and Daryl should have had someone quietly keep an eye on Henry. And the guards spotted Magna's group leaving Hilltop... you would think they would be even more vigilant after the Whisperer confrontation.
So Tara, as the leader of the community, is to blame for not posting proper security. And Daryl, despite the fact that Michonne told him he was the "best judge of character" she knew, totally didn't think that Henry was going to do something stupid. And considering how many times Daryl has acted impulsively, he should have known.
I'm not saying Henry isn't doing something stupid that will endanger lives. I'm saying the wiser heads in Hilltop should have accounted for this. And Henry doesn't deserve all the hate or to die for being a teenager.
What do you think?
EDIT: Okay, apparently he's 17. That doesn't change the argument. 17 year old boys don't make a lot of smart decisions. Daryl and Tara should have anticipated that. Of course they could have resolved that oversight by saying they did have someone watching, but they got distracted and he slipped by them.

[Shower thought] I've been thinking that most of the walkers would be consumed (eaten) by wild hogs in the United States at least. Hogs would me more of a problem than walkers due to their abundant food supply with all these meat sacks walking around.
It came to mind after reading a, not related at all, novel Slop: The Wild Boar Nation by Keith Bishop. Hogs already make huge herds and hunt as packs. It would be very simple for them to take out all the zombies, at least the slow moving stupid walkers in the series. I know that in the TV series it is shown that they fed the pigs with corpses in the Kingdom to raise tribute for the Saviors. As far as I know, it has never been mentioned in the comics.

Any theories as to what happened in Alexandria? We haven't seen much of them since the time-skip, and there are multiple hints as to what may have happened.

The reason why there are so many meme reposts
I think its because no one really wants to discuss the show seriously, Since most people were (lets say disappointed) with s4 no one cares about whats going to happen in the future. Its like there's nothing to get excited about.

After Hank’s death, why were Walter and Saul blacklisted?
The only physical evidence the DEA has is Walter’s voice confession. However, it died with Gomez and Hank because they chased Walt right after the phone call. It is noteworthy that Hank was so embarrassed that Gomez was the only person supporting the collection of evidence.
From my perspectives, proofs are lacking for immediate arrest.

Question: With "SPOILER" joining the show...
So I stopped watching the main show around season five as I had got bored with it, whereas I love Fear to death.
My question (for both TWD and FTWD viewers) is, due to my lack of knowledge of the later seasons of TWD and of their characters, will Dwight coming into Fear be problematic for me as viewer and do you think that if he gets as much attention on screen as Morgan did when he joined, will I not enjoy it as I'm not already emotionally conntected or know about the character?
Thank you :)

Season 9, Episode 14, X scars theories?
So as we know, episode 14 of this season titled ‘Scars’ will be the day we find out how and why Michonne and Daryl share these ‘X’ shaped scars on their backs.
For those of you that watched Talking Dead after the mid-season premiere, you’ll know that Norman Reedus was quizzed about it. In response, he says something along the lines of ‘I can’t say too much, but those scars relate to something that just happened between the two of them’.
To me, this means Daryl and Michonne were part of something that none of the others are even aware of. Now whether that is violence on their part, something to do with another group we haven’t met (they met in the timeskip), I’ve honestly no idea. But Norman’s reveal of that information was actually a surprise to me. I assumed others knew but maybe didn’t have the scars. It makes me feel like it’s REALLY sinister that they’ve had to keep it from everyone else. On the flip side, the other communities seem semi-pissed at Michonne and Alexandria and the hints point to this event being the crux of the problem.
I truly cannot think of anything it could be, but I was wondering if anyone else has any good guesses as to what the hell happened!?
TLDR; Norman Reedus mentioned the X scars were part of an event that only Michonne and Daryl experienced (he said that on Talking Dead), so what are your theories behind what happened?
