Limitless was one of the greatest Comedy/Drama’s to ever air and it shouldn’t of been cancelled.

I didn’t mind the movie, I thought it was pretty good but nothing special. The concept was nothing too original, but the way they did it was nice. But the TV show was something else, the concept, the characters, the connection to the film, to the connection to the idea of how your life isn’t your own. It’s ingenious. The main character Brian Finch is extremely relatable, he’s a screw up; but a believable screw up and his only goal is to help his family and make sure they can see him in a different light. When Brian gets access to NZT, which makes you the smartest human possible, the first thing he does is help other. Brian encompasses the best person you can be, if you were the smartest person how many people could you aid? His counterpart Rebecca Harris was well written as well, she’s smart, resourceful and yet; caring. No matter how often Brian messes up, she’s there to aid him. The comedy aspect of the show is extremely well written, encompassing witty humour, tasteful jokes and blatant parodies to make this show stand out. It’s a not that original concept panned out into something great. Brian is funny, and you truly feel for him when he’s in pain trying to help others. The shows Antagonist Sands is perfectly, he’s brutal, scary and unmoved by emotion or plea. The overarching theme of Sands being in control of Brian’s life is enticing to watch and makes you enthralled in wanting to know exactly how far Sands will push Brian to go. The show has so many incredible episodes, pushing the boundaries of what a crime drama could be. With more serious shows like Blue Bloods or Chicago PD coming into existence, this truly is a cut above the rest bringing fresh ideas to the table. The show was unfortunately cancelled, and I feel if you haven’t already; then you should 100% watch the show. You will love it! I believe it’s on Netflix; it is here in Canada and I’m not certain if it’s on in the US. Otherwise, it’s only one season I’m sure that it’s cheap to purchase.
