There was sooooo much foreshadowing in the first part of Season 9 about what was to come for the characters in the second part. There was also a bit foreshadowing for Season 10 in regards to Michonne and Lucille. I seriously wish I paid more attention before. It's a good thing I'm rewatching it now.
