They had an opportunity for a really badass moment in the latest episode, and they blew it thanks to the current character writing

So in the latest episode, the tanker is being chased by the guy that Dwight let go. The tanker's out of gas and so Logan's guys catch up to them. Of course, the predictable writing allows the MRAP to show up just in time so they leave, but what if...

Assuming the writing was good, and the characters weren't all driven to help everyone and they would actually still kill and we actually had carnage like the good ol days...

Imagine Logan's guys just getting out, guns raised, preparing to take the tanker by force when suddenly... they divert their attention behind them and a rain of bullets comes from the MRAP which had just arrived. I would have DIED to see that happen. For once, why can't we get some carnage like the old days?

You guys remember those amazing parts in TWD where you actually cheered out loud for the good guys? Where the bad guys get shot, blown up, destroyed, whatever? Like No Sanctuary, or when Daryl blew up the saviors on bikes? Scenes like that.

Oh good writing where have you gone?
